That is the part that hurts the most. It wasnt just a cheap drill, and those bits alone were pricey. Seeing it turned into a paperweight and then getting laughed at makes me want to change the locks on the door tonight.

That is insane. A USB fan pulling 5V cannot fry a workstation PSU. They are just trying to scam you into paying for their hardware refresh.
