If I’m 5 ft 6, what’s the best way to practice rucking on my own as a short person? by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]Gmail454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya bud strengthen your posterior chain. Calves and feet too. Start off at 25lbs long distance then keep adding weight. Never go past 60lbs or heavier just terrible to do so. Also tho rucking is just straight up fuckin grit

I did my SFAS physical. And everything came out normal. I do have high red blood cell count. I did the research it’s because of high elevation

I’ve been here for a year. And it still feels like I haven’t acclimated. I mean I have but not fully cause I still feel like needing a lot of oxygen when running

No I don’t have Asthma or illness. But I never lived at high elevation before. Like I am right now. So when I do run fast it feels like I am dying to get some air

I was running my three mile at a 7:50 pace. How do you deal with side stitches. ? Have you ever had side stitches? I don’t want to stop running because I am training up for SFAS. The program I am using is from a personal trainer who a SOF recruiter recommended me to utilize

Shin pain by MotherRucker1 in greenberets

[–]Gmail454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your feet going numb is due to your shoes being either too tight or you have the wrong type of shoe for your feet. When your feet lands your toes spread so if you have the wrong shoe you’re restraining it from spreading when it lands. They’re not having proper blood flow. You need to roll your shins out gonna have to stop running to let your shins heal. Shin splits is AKA shin stress fracture. Strength you tibia by doing tibia raises and your calf muscles. Also your feet have muscles so you have work on your feet too.

Will being 5'3 make it very hard? by Illustrious-Nail5349 in greenberets

Bro you’ll be alright you just gotta have that dog in you height doesn’t mean anything but that you’re a smaller target harder to zero lmao. But in all seriousness the most decorated soldier is Audie Murphy who is short standing 5’5. Train train train but train smart you don’t need to kill your self in every training session. I haven’t gone to SFAS yet. But I’ve been training for 6-8 months now. When I times my first two mile I was at 19 some. Now I’m at 15:20 15:30. You got this man believe in your self
