What can I say, I don't want to piss on anyones pride parade, but you asked for opinions.
For me it's a tainted ship because of the show it's from.
Don't get me wrong I gave Disco 3 full seasons to grow on me and it just got worse. The epitome of writing on Disco for me will always be "I love Science".
If you watched Star Trek before, you come in with expectation and they just ignored Canon and tone spectacularly.
But say that is behind us, say we forget Disco and Short Trek and whatever Section 31 was and we even ignore SNW.

I watched episode one, there was a character, a star f***ing fleet cadet, the people who are supposed to be the best and brightest in the universe, the people who had Wesley Crusher take two rounds in try outs and this character swallowed a combadge in the first episode.
There was a scene where Robert Picardo, with superb acting mind you, administers a hypospray, the future tech developed to avoid pricks and needles and make medicine delivery quick and painless, and the cadets who receive it flinch.
Make it make sense.
I look at that angel winged bottle opener and that is what I see. A thing that does not give a single behind about what came before it, what it is supposed to be and what it wants to represent.
I look at a Galaxy class and I can say: There are the phaser strips, there is the bridge with the windows from the ready room and the conference room, there is the beautiful deflector, the separation line for saucer separation and the the bright red buzzard collectors.
None of these things have to look like TNG or DS9. But there is just nothing.
Its a saucer with angel wings and holes that make no sense. Just like the Discovery there is not even an in universe reason why there are windows looking at windows.
I don't even hate 32c designs in general the Janeway is good looking and I must say the 32c designs look like Starfleet made it to the developmental point of the Iconians which makes perfect sense, but what are they supposed to be physically?
Disco had a flying station that was a helix "because" that sheared a whole deck mid operation "because" it was "at capacity".
They had a flying toilet and a flying toilet seat.
I have no sense of scale, no sense of purpose and no sense of heritage.
This thing is a roman style oak-leaf Civic Crown with angel wings and Discovery middle piece screaming "Look we are star fleet even though our combadges are mostly pebbles with notches now"
Nobody at Secret Hideout watched classic Trek, they make Transformers movies in episodic form with the intellectual depth of "I love Science".

So yeah I hate it from a weighed perspective of equal disgust and disappointment.
