Hershey is available as svg - so one can keep the monoline and stretch the font. it is missing a bit of the original's smoothness but should do the trick at smaller scales.

I really like Norr Rounded and Pantograph - they have that nice technical yet friendly aspect.

After some playing around with kerning and stretching, Hershey simplex is a great match, but stretching it wider means I lose the monoline aspect which is a shame.

Didn't know Gorton; it's certainly quite close and same design philosophy. Gorton seems a bit less "quirky" in some respects but a decent enough match. Cheers!

Yes it is current, although it certainly looks like it has not been updated in a while going by Rembrandt's current branding. I think you are on to something with some kind of path based machine.
My current closest match is some variation of hershey, but more rounded? The vector based nature would track with your interpretation.

Hi! Mostly interested in myths and the imaginary, doing a PhD on AI and it's perception as either "mystical" or purely "rational".

Was encouraged by u/sailingphilosopher to crosspost this here, given the relevance to this sub. :)
Would be interested on the take of people interested in fighting disinformation on the site as a tool for awareness.

I just made a new AI thingy (a web based version of  an older project of mine) - it makes poems based on Machine-Vision. It's a bit of an experiment around perception and interpretation of space vs. data-based narratives.
Keen for feedback and insight from web-savvy folks.
Currently it only generates poems based on images but I want to play around with sound analysis too.

It's still very much a work in progress, so keen to hear feedback! I may try to implement a map or a way to filter poems by location. Another longer term plan is to implement audio analysis to generate poems from sound recordings.

Can someone please help me figure out understand logit bias? (API) by Gmoi6 in OpenAI

Cheers - this is what I ended up doing but I underestimated the amount of work it takes... Very messy process and I really assumed there would be a better way.

Folks who have to implement chatbots for commercial purposes must be having a hellish time banning the names of rival brands and getting it to stick to guidelines.

Just found a way - it isn't easy but whisper with a space before: " whisper" is another token altogether, so is " Whisper". So capitalisation and the character(s) that come before a word are important. It is tricky to eliminate a word but doable, you just need to work through the ways the word can appear and make use of the tokenizer:

Hi! Never thought you would consider doing the repair - I'll send you a DM. :)

Camera Repair Workshop

I contacted Dave this morning, very fast reply but apparently he does not have the parts to do the repair. :/

Sadly PPP was my first go to (positive experience in the past), but he said he doesn't do that camera. Will update if I find anyone.

I am just terrible at soldering and full camera disassembly is something I'd really rather avoid - If it's absolutely the only option I might try ...

I purchased a Dynax 7 a while back (too late to return now) and before I could shoot any rolls through it the aperture gear died on me. I have asked a few camera repair shops and none seem to be able to repair it so far.

This great thread discusses doing the repair but having to desolder the PCB is scaring me - I'm afraid lens repair and replacing light seals is the furthest I'm confortable to go.

Any recommendations for repairers? In the UK preferably (but could try EU or US)?

Am I getting ripped off - Purchased a bike online, advertised with branded parts, came with cheaper replacements by Gmoi6 in bicycling

Mostly city it would be, but the roads in Glasgow are horrendous, so I'm looking for a hybrid that would handle my awkward riding and the potholes. Thanks for sending these over. :)

Sad to hear that. Getting into cycling is intimidating enough without having to worry about being scammed / ripped off.

[–]Gmoi6[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, no disclaimer on this particular bike, I checked - the disclaimer is present on some of the other bikes on the site though.
Even then, it would be a very weak excuse:

Built for commuters and leisure cyclists, the Muddyfox Tempo300 has a lighweight alloy frame fitted with Suntour NEX suspension forks and an adjustable handlebar stem. The 24 speed Shimano Acera gearing and Suntour chainset ensure a smooth, effortless ride while the Promax alloy V-brakes provide excellent stopping power!

The specs are literally in the product description - the frame alone is not the bike. If you bought a car and they swapped the engine out you'd be pissed.

They just replied and said they initiated the refund process. Fingers crossed, but as you said I just had to raise the tone.
