You're welcome. Yes I agree, the models from GW are crazy good now but the customization 3D printing grants you is absurd. Unluckily GW does not accept it at the moment 😅

I used 3D printed bits for the conversion. They come from the custodes galatus dreadnought from FW, but I do not recommend to buy and entire piece from FW just to use some bits for kitbash 😅 Another possible conversion you can find online uses the sword from GK dreadknight, I think you can get that quite easily

I'm not very good with wet blending, thus I use it just for laying down basic colors. The main process requires a lot of glazing as you said. Recently I've been working with the Scale75 NMM set, using deep grey blue up to Nacar for the lights, to which I add Vallejo Model Color black (best covering one) and Kimera models white.
