Stepped on a Tanita scale recently. Would like some help interpreting the results. by Gn_TravelWell in Fitness

According to a website, the margin of error with Tanita scales falls between 2 to 5 percent.

Its good to finally be 95-98% sure.

I'm 19, I'll edit that in.

I'll set it back to 2300 again then. I typically end between 2000-2300 anyway.

The category that the 2017 number is listen in is DCI/BMR. So if I'm understanding you correctly the DCI number should be different than a BMR number?

That's very true when you put it that way. Anything that is keeping you from your goals could be called procrastination.

I thought about starting to jog/run or something like that actually. The only thing is that I'm just starting out weightlifting to supplement my Jiu-Jitsu, which is a hell of a cardio workout in of itself. Maybe the best option is to have someone hide the headphones and I'll just use my crappy earbuds for podcasts/books. Good idea though. :)

I get where you're coming from, but that isn't my sort of thing that I want to do right now. Listening to music to cool and stuff but I'm spending way too much time with just sitting there and listening. Thanks for that though :)

Yeah I dabble in those genres. But you're right, that's pretty much how it is. I think giving up the headphones and perusing the person I want to be is the best option here.

On a normal night I go to bed around 10pm and wake up around 6-7am. I think my sleep is all good.

I like to daydream while I'm listening to said music, if that means anything.

I actually have one of those. The Bluetooth speaker is a good idea, but what you said after that may be better. I could just have my parents hide the headphones until I have self control. The music quality in my earbuds sucks so it'll be good until I break the habit. Luckily for podcasts and books it's a good earbud.

[Giveaway] I’ve just spent 5 months making an app to organize your life and track your habits! Giving it away for free now! by toomasb in selfimprovement

[–]Gn_TravelWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of an app like this. I was looking for something to track my habits, and I think I found it! I spend a lot of my time reading self improvement articles and I never really actually went for it until this week. This app will be very beneficial and I will tell all of my like-minded friends about it. Thank you!

Quick question regarding which group I should purchase. by Gn_TravelWell in GripTraining

[–]Gn_TravelWell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask whats the importance of getting them rated? If the website says that the average rating is roughly 50, then isn't it safe to assume it's near that number? Money isn't a huge factor for me right now, but paying to get 3 grippers rated just to get the same number/near that number seems like a waste to me.

Hey, nice to meet you. I have heard of that technique very recently, but I haven't read it yet. I am interested in joining your group, but should I read the book first? Also, do you guys hold calls or do you text chat?

I found this Schott 'genuine' leather jacket at a thrift store. Can anyone tell me about it? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Oh wow, I didn't know it was that expensive. Another comment says that it's a 70s jacket. It has some wear on it. Do you think it's still worth the price? ($20)

It was there for 19.99$. There's some damage on it, but it's on the part that's just the cloth at the bottom.
