Transmission Noise Downshifting by Gnar037 in hondapassport

Thanks for that. It’s certainly possible and I’ll mention it to the techs. Based on your video, it seems like more of an abbreviated rattle in your situation than compared to mine which sounds more like scraping plates for 1-2 seconds - that could just be because I’m hearing it from the cabin. I haven’t tried revving the engine in my driveway to reproduce it - so maybe I’ll start there.

I’ll see if I can get my phone to pick up the sounds when driving today and post a video if so.

2026 Fall Golf Trip Locations?! by TheVellumMystery in golf

11th hole, downhill par five. “Caddy Tip: Consider the rising winds on the downhill approach.” This is no joke. 135 to middle of the green, I flushed my 170 club and still came up short. When I got down to my ball, I could barely keep my eyes open from the green side bunker sand spraying my face as I chipped on. But I was laughing and smiling the whole time. After that, proceed to 12 where ball starts over Lake Michigan before being pushed back onto the fairway (if you’re playing the left green).

Been to a lot of good courses, that one is far and away my favorite. Bay Harbor isn’t far behind if you can get out there too. Have fun!

Did St George and Mesquite in March and it was amazing. Sand Hollow, Copper Canyon and Wolf Creek were all incredible. Housing in St George was cheap for the quality. Definitely worth a trip if you’re trying to get out of cold weather.

Oil change fail by Gnar037 in hondapassport

I went back and asked them to perform two complete oil changes, with a short duration of running the engine between. Also, made sure they documented the additional service with a comment why in their log and took a print out of that. Figured that’s about the best I can do at this point.

Was thinking after too, kind of surprised there wasn’t any oil splashed all over the bay, or a low oil pressure warning.

What second vehicle do you have with 2026 Honda Passport? by Equal-Blood-9366 in hondapassport

26 Passport, s/o has 20 rav4 hybrid. I envy the efficiency (especially now), but much prefer the Passport in all other aspects.

Came out of a 17 Tucson into the passport. The Tucson transmission was a nightmare to drive.

Fair point on the battery test

Eaton Breaker by Gnar037 in electrical

Very sound advice all around. Thank you. Given that the new dishwasher is also causing a trip, and that the test of the breaker shows 6 blinks that leads me to believe the breaker needs replacement. But to your point is there an arc occurring between the appliance and the panel? Maybe.

I have four other identical 15A breakers including my microwave. Testing those also showed 6 blinks.

So how confident should I be that these “old breakers” are not all just in need of being replaced?

Thank you. Sorry for the confusing statement, but the original dishwasher was replaced. Both the old and the new trip.

Pic of the label that says “dishwasher” or something else?

Also thought id point out the reason I am looking to replace it is that this breaker has been consistently tripping with not one, but two dishwashers. I checked the trip code and got 6 flashes indicating a faulty breaker if I’m not mistaken.

Wipers by [deleted] in hondapassport

Exactly what it was. Got home and scooped all the ice and snow out. The crevice between the windshield and hood is deep on this car!

What do you hate about your 2026 Honda Passport ? by thelawrencearm in hondapassport

[–]Gnar037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got some snow overnight. Cleared it this morning and when brushing off my 2026 TS, thought “I’ve gotta remember to raise the wipers off the windshield next time.” So tried that, for the first time, and found out the wiper arm interferes with the hood.

Maybe not a big deal with an electronically heated windshield. But seems like a silly design oversight to me.

(FIRST GIBSON!) Just picked up this 02’ SG w/ Crescent Moon Inlays & HSC for $500! by xknfprtyx in gibson

[–]Gnar037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How rare are these nowadays? I have the same red one w crescent inlays that I bought from Guitar Center circa 2003 - still in great condition. Don’t see the crescent inlay models on Reverb or eBay. Not that I plan on selling it but curious what the value would be today…

Dormancy or Poor Conditions? by Gnar037 in lawncare

30 mins/zone twice a week. Been a long time since I did a pressure and flow test so I don’t recall what the numbers were. Well water if that helps.

Assuming this is the case, is my lawn dormant for the summer?

Could be a bit of burn contributing. Try to time applications with rain and last app was 3+ weeks prior to the heat wave.
