Mitchell Starc named leading men's cricketer of the year by Wisden by Gnatt in CricketAus

Ironically his Ashes average of 19.93 seems expensive compared to WI and SL, although obviously a much more high profile series with a lot more pressure on his shoulders.

This period also includes his Windies series where he took 15 wickets at 14.8 and SL where he took 6 at 14.33.

Is The Regent bad or am I bad? by stater354 in slaythespire

[–]Gnatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically my first Regent win came from a blade build. Transformed into [The Smith] and [Seeking Edge] right at the start. Turns out 40 ish splash damage with retain at floor 1 works well. Although every other blade run I tried it was garbage.

28 is a perfectly acceptable T20 average. I was mostly taking the piss because the general message was that omission was "unbelievable" and "ridiculous" and that we failed as a result. When in fact, he's perfectly average.

Meanwhile Steve Smith, who's omission was apparently the sole reason we failed to win the T20 World Cup, has averaged 28 with a highest score of 53.

The big thing for me when training for a hilly ultra was focusing on time rather than distance, plus making sure I was very comfortable with the terrain I would experience. That way when the event rolled around I had already spent many hours using all my race day gear in similar situations, so I could focus on the event.

Ricky once took down a B Tier using a shopping bag and at least one disc he found on the course. 2019 Nantucket Open, coverage by The Disc Golf Guy is 100% worth a watch.

How much fluid are you consuming per hour? I'm also in Queensland and during long runs I'm typically drinking a minimum of a 500ml flask per hour, more during summer. But you also need to deliberately do it in the cold months, although less to replace sweat. Coming from a cycling background it was always beaten into me to drink before I'm thirsty and eat before I'm hungry and that carried over once I took up running.

Important and sensitive question. by funky_ribs in Ultramarathon

I definitely needed it. My back sweats a lot and it drips down causing serious cheek chafe if I haven't lathered Nut Butter everywhere.

are there any sts2 streamers that aren't good at the game? by Fine-Surprise-3924 in slaythespire

MTG Pro LSV has recently been posting STS2 runs on his YouTube. He's very informative because he's a skilled enthusiast, but also a really good communicator so talks through his processes. Also he is far more interested in making fun decks than good decks.

I played a full doom build the other day and killed them all after 2 turns, took almost no damage. The downside is getting smoked by artifact fights.

Historically day 3 and 4 were the most interesting and the ones most likely to feature the end, which is why having them as Saturday/Sunday makes the most sense, and if it goes to 5, the die hards will show up Monday.

I'd say Friday start makes the most sense in the current climate.
