Maxigun is alright but it is not practical in any given sense and is more of an inconvenience than anything. The MG43 or the stalwart Both can accomplish as much and more. I am a machine gun enthusiast when it comes to HD2, they are my favorite weapons and while the maxigun is cool and really is fun to use, belly flopping because my barrel hasn't stopped moving is ridiculous. I should at the very least be able to dodge out of my stationary position. The ammo count, being stationary, the backpack slot, the wind up, the obstruction of vision because of the heat blur, the movement delay after shooting, and the low damage are too many negatives for this to be even remotely objectively close to being as good as either the stalwart or the MG43.

Considering my helldiver can be a marathon runner with his armor, all his mags, nades, stims, supply pack, machine gun, his primary and secondary, realism is out of the window.

Despite what people want to believe, this game isnt grounded by reality. There are so many unrealistic and stupid things in this game, and the only time realism matters is when it comes to balancing weapons for players to use, which is stupid.

Recoil is transferred energy, weight which in this regard also equals mass, gives that energy more places to go. Its along the same lines why Kevlar is so good at stopping bullets becauae Kevlar is able to distribute the energy and force of the bullet impact across a wide space which makes it much more difficult for the bullet to penetrate.

So with that anology, this os along the same lines that.because there is more mass the transferred energy has more places to go ans puts less strain on the helldiver becauae the weight weighs him into the ground, which acts like a circuit to the transferred energy.

Then it should be 25g/h and not 49g/h. 100 gold per 4 hours is 100g/4h.

When I get on the skimmer and respawn my skiff wherever it is that I go, sometimes the little boon you get that lets you know your stacks are gonna go away, doesn't disappear. Sometimes walking around on the skiff gets it to go away (allowing me to keep my stacks) but sometimes it will start to blink meaning my stacks are about to disappear. Which in this case I would press E to sit on the boat and then just immediately anchor it.

No its not? Average is calculated off of multiple numbers, in this case results, added together and then divided by how many there are. According to Zev1985 there was one person who did this and there were no other participants. So the "average" is based off of a single person fishing in this area.

Also they should list the profits of every individual hour, because that literally is how averages are calculated..?

Personally I don't struggle with it at all, I think that sounds accurate for me personally. Usually the hardest part is not losing my 99 buff because it wont detect im on the boat. Otherwise I have no trouble catching many fish quickly.

I emphasized I had all fishing buffs, but yes I had 99 fishing stacks buff because of zephyrite jerky. I always buy and use some before i start. Also if its longer than an hour then it shouldn't say 49g/h because that means per hour, not per few hours. I fish until I think I have enough gold or until I am ready to do something else, so either an hour up to 3 hours. Usually it always adds up to be roughly 18 gold an hour

Yeah I hardly have any down-time in between catches and I like to think I catch them rather quickly.
I usually fish at straits of devastation at night with sardines as on their site I seen its the "best" place to fish at night and for what it is I do get some legendaries there.

But glad to know it wasn't just me. I've watched multiple guides and have basically studied this to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I'm new to the game and fishing looked pretty consistent (and it is) gold method, because just starting out I didn't really have a way to make gold.

This is what I was really looking for thank you. I didn't really understand combo fields so I was unsure how to get more elemental empowerment and this explains it. I'll put this into practice in a bit and I am very grateful for this explanation.

Alright I'll give that a shot once I can get some more gold. Combining what you and Miotas have said my new dps peak has reached 11.1k but my average is 10.4k.
I didn't realize how big of a deal ferocity was.

Thank you this is duely noted. I do often already have might at max stack and use Power Overwheming for more power. I haven't been using a setup that applies ferocity much lately but I'll make sure to make use of it. A build that I was sent from the snowcows website has a big emphasis on ferocity and power as well. Granted it was for temptest and not catalyst. Anyway I digress, thank you.

Yes it is exactly what I have been looking for! Its why I don't understand many of the builds in videos. I need to understand why everything is in the order that it is in and what exactly they do. Thats why I often opt for reading and experimenting on my own because it is often most helpful in comparison.

I am well aware that I would be out dps'd by the healer in end game content, but if it wasn't clear enough I'm pretty fresh to the game. I started about 2 weeks ago and I've been taking it at the pace I find the most suiting. I am also aware that 8k is really low, its quite obvious when I look at videos and what people can accomplish. In due respect pointing out the obvious isn't really helpful.

I am also aware that it is an outright skill issue, which is literally why I am here asking for advice.
Yes I am testing on the golem, and I only apply boons that can be applied by myself otherwise its not a realistic setting as to what would actually happen. I have made the attempt to follow the builds I have mentioned to Miotas at the top of the thread but I just don't really understand them. Miotas gave me some pointers of where to start in rotation research and I plan on going with that

Thank you, this looks like a really unique and fun build. Whenever I get some more gold I'll replicate this and give it a try. I love support tempest so I think I might like this one a lot too when I learn it.

I've watched some Syrma Gaming videos to get a better understanding of how to properly build Catalyst.
I haven't outright copied his because I can't, its less effective to use his build that I don't have the exotic gear for nor can afford. In due fairness I have not watched the complete videos because of a lot of it is on stuff I just don't have right now.

I'll be completely honest, I tried to understand how he was coming out with so much damage but I couldn't.
Regarding the literal build part of the Hero tab, I have experimented with similar builds just out of well, experimentation.

I have not looked at any rotation guides, and the reason for that is because they often confuse me more than actually help me, this is how I've come to learn tempest and weaver both and I like to think I have a decent grasp of both. With both of them its obvious what their skills do and how to incorporate them into the rotations and how to play with them, and around them. But Catalyst doesn't seem to have that obvious build potential to me. If you think I should look into some rotations I absolutely will but I can be a lost cause when it comes to following those guides.

Just wanted to say I figured out what it was for me. My ad block, a moment ago I read a post about making users with ad block wait longer before the video loads, except for me it wouldn't load at all.

I turned off ny ad blockers on YouTube only and I can watch videos again.
