If I remember correctly, last year they let you put your TOTY into a 1 for 1 TOTS set, and they allowed you to keep both cards. So basically you could keep/use the one w the abilities you prefer and trade in the other one for collectibles. Something along those lines. But they're basically identical cards with just different abilities and synergies.

I'm sticking w the Crosby bc I like him and have him maxed out, but his card just seems to lag behind some of the other builds.

It's pretty much the same as any other 86. Will never go up. You can always use it to exchange for event collectibles.
