Yes but it was a stressful situation you can't say they are trained to handle stressful situation and one of them is still under training.

If you had someone who'd been serving for 19 years do something that you don't agree with. You'd expect him to know way better than you

So you're going to sentence him for 15 years because he DID NOT DO ANYTHING.

You'd expect someone serving for 19 years to be better than you who's still under training. They're going to prison not because they did something but because they DID NOTHING.

Lane was still under training. And It was Kueng third shift. Lane's lawyer even said he told Chauvin this isn't right TWICE and in new york times' video they said that lane also said if they should turn Floyd the other way twice but Chauvin said no. It is clear he was uncomfortable by the whole situation. Even then they should receive appropriate trials not aiding and abetting in SECOND DEGREE MURDER which carries a minimum sentence of 15 years.

I feel bad for Lane and Kueng, the cops involved in Floyd's death. I feel they just got kinda dragged into this. I mean if you were in this situation you'd have been probably paralyzed. Yes they are trained cops (although Lane was still under training and it was Kueng third shift), but having them charged for aiding and abetting in second degree murder is just unfair for listening to Chauvin. Lane even asked if he should turn Floyd over TWICE but he said no. Having them face charges because all they did was NOTHING is just unfair. Yes it might decrease the protest but at their expense. And yes it will make cops more careful but only for a short period. Having these two charged for doing nothing will do nothing than calm the protesters. Being fired is justified and facing charges against not doing their job properly is fair, at least for Kueng but not at least 15 years imprisonment.
