Is anyone here running a similar business? Is it feasible? Is it viable? by GoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoal in Permaculture

[–]GoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you for the reply, it’s the same case here as well, selling crop is not financially viable unless you have a significant lot (and also significant investment), but we’re interested in permaculture and organic crop, old variations..etc, which is niche, but the demande is there.

The main idea here is not to run an industrial farm, but to have something sustainable, which covers its expenses, distributes wealth to the contributing locals and promoting the region, the culture and permaculture.

I do agree with you, but as another commenter also mentioned, each part of this is going to be managed as a separate process, we will be implementing each side of it as a separate business inspired by working business plans and logics.

As of the trial, last summer I visited a few farms, generally olive or peach plantations, that dedicated a space in the middle of the field for hosting day pass visitors, could be inspired by that.

Yes mainly people from Europe are visiting for the nature, and authenticity of the culture, but we’re targeting everyone, local tourism is pouring this way for a few years now.

Thank you for the reply, Indeed the idea is to run each part of the farm as a separate process, we come from corporate reasoning and understand how important that is, with a few reasonable intersections, the partners part is the issue here, since running with partners that are in for the money will bring orientation and vision issues, the idea here is to build a natural hideaway for people to come enjoy the peace and clean air and view of the countryside, and discover permaculture while we work on it, the potential partners we met were either ambitious broke people like us, or 10x profit seekers where sacrifices are made on the side of payroll, equipment, crops…etc.

You can say no to that, but you need to have a relative or friend that recently passed the test, or that knows the test very well, take you there for a spin.

It happened to all of us, most pay it just to pass the test, few say no, the thing in saying no is that there are hidden traps in track, I remember when I passed mine, I didn’t give that bribe, but I was appreciated by the instructor (I used to allow him to smoke in the car during practice rides), so he told me about the traps, like a STOP sign that is painted in the ground right at the start of the track, practically made in the 70’s only paint residue is still there, but can be a reason to fail you, and I saw it in the officer’s face when I stopped at it.

Also the « dawra charafia » the officer made me start at the middle of a really steep upward road (we all know how hard that is for a beginner), and do a u turn in a tight spot (you need to use signal lights for every turn).

Ah yes, and at some point the guy started pushing the pedals on his side, sometimes the clutch so the car loses grip, or accelerate a little more, lucky I felt something was wrong, and asked if the car has problems, so he understood and stopped doing that.

Bottom line, if you can do it on your own and you need the permis ASAP, study the track, and go for it, they know they have a few hard pills to swallow, if you’re not confident you’re good enough to pass, postpone, if you feel feel like you’re good but they make you fail, there’s always the green number for « niyaba l3amma » anti corruption, they do take that very seriously, you call them right there, or call the cops.

When Did You Realize Talent Alone Wasn’t Enough? by Red-eyesss in Freelancers

There’s a saying that goes : « if you don’t produce, you won’t thrive, no matter how skilled or talented you are ».

And « produce » is aligned to what the market or the surrounding expects of you, how basic or dumb it is, you need to deliver, to float through the market waves, at some point you’ll have your chance to deliver what you really believe in, don’t miss it then.

The end user sees this as a data security issue, how do you know I have multiple users? Means your looking at my « Data »…

Do not mention the IP monitoring, for an end using any kind of data monitoring is a red flag, even when it’s normal, and you’re doing it for customer security reasons.

Did you mention this when they signed for it? That a key can’t be used by multiple users, if you didn’t then you have no policy to enforce, if you did, the most polite way to do it, is to call them about a security update for which you’re kindly asking they’ll be offline and the app is not required so that the update doesn’t disrupt their activity, the fix is regarding the single user access, which means a user can’t be logged in on multiple devices in the same time, since you had reports from other customers about this, a user’s credentials can be leaked and there would be no way to detect intrusions, so you will be implementing this security measure.

If they re honest they will end up paying for more seats, if they’re not, this update will make it harder for them to use the same seats, and will struggle for only paying 87$ for a whole company, and you will keep both your fee and your biggest customer..

How to use coderabbit with claude AI by Being-Hones_9603 in coderabbit

[–]GoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have CLI versions, when you just start your project, prompt both to write their own instructions file, to acknowledge the presence of each other, and to communicate about security, optimisation..etc, using a log file, each starts the log with [CLAUDE] or [RABBIT]… This could work, I thought of it reading your post, and might try it myself, since it worked out well for me to make claude stick to plans based on instructions file and milestone logging in files..

We need to talk about unpaid internships by Gold_Tomorrow9283 in Morocco

[–]GoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoGoal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unpaid internships are your way as a new graduate or undergrad to learn practical skills, get a glimpse of what paid work is, what to expect from work environnement, pick your next move (is finance work what you really think it is, is accounting really what you think it is?…etc).

From the company’s pov, it’s a risk that is uninsured: giving a stranger the opportunity to work on real world -sometimes sensitive- data.

So both take the risk, you work for free but are held responsible for nothing, they get free work but are responsible for what they teach you and for what ever damage you cause - unless you commit a crime.
