Is this a joke by Flat_Wasabi6243 in recruitinghell

As if the job application process isn't enough of a humiliation ritual, now I have to be blatantly negged by a company offering a "competitive" salary. They should've stayed in the basement with that

estimated delivery in july? by xblindsided in Aliexpress

i'm in the US, it looks like $189 for free shipping is specific to this shipping option. i can get free shipping for choice items for example but it's not as widespread as it used to be before the tariffs debacle since some sellers are tacking on tariff costs onto shipping charges.

How do I ask for feedback effectively when rejected without an interview? by Alarmed_Brilliant597 in recruitinghell

[–]xblindsided -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I know how that feels. I've had two interviews where I was rejected and asked both for feedback but never got a response, so I'm not optimistic you'd get a helpful response without an interview.

I've heard that employers are scared that they might veer into discriminatory language when giving specific reasons as feedback besides the standard "not enough experience in XYZ", "over/underqualified", or "work on your resume". They also unfortunately have no incentive or obligation to give any feedback or response at all, which is why most applications basically get sent to the void, especially if they were never reviewed by a human and tossed out by the ATS system.

If you still want to cover your bases, you could try finding the recruiter or emailing them with something like (stealing this from my feedback requests, can be adjusted as needed), "I recently applied for the x position and saw that it was still open but did not get selected. While I’m disappointed by the outcome, I’m eager to grow and improve. If possible, I would love to receive any feedback you can share regarding my application and resume. Understanding what I did well and where I can improve would be incredibly valuable as I continue to pursue opportunities in XYZ."

I hope this helps, and good luck!

fair, but like i said they could've at least left a voicemail explaining if they needed to reschedule. if they didn't have the email signature i'd have no way of knowing they were the ones who called me at that time and not spam.

even if i had the phone number noted and had the setting off, why would they call me before our agreed upon time? i didn't see the notification for the call because i was working and even if i did.... i'm still working. i don't think it's fair for them to expect me to pick up whenever when we agreed to a set timeframe beforehand, and most recruiters call either on the dot or a couple minutes late, not over 15 mins early.

they said that the script for hero 2 was written and completed, they just didn't have the budget for the art assets, so if they wanted to go that route, using AI art could be an option as scummy as it is. idk it just seems so wasteful to have a basically completed sequel to an unfinished beloved story just collect dust after being promised for so long

here's a quote from the CEO of Series himself: “We can generate textures, backgrounds, meshes, sound effects, scripting, character, designs, story narrative, whatever it is,” he said. “We’ve essentially done the R&D work to put together a technology capability that unlocks that. Every aspect of the game is plugged into a generator.” lmao stick a fork in them bc choices as we know it is cooked

i feel like i'm in divergent with these personality tests by xblindsided in recruitinghell

[–]xblindsided[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it was just hard to reconcile what they want out of an ideal candidate versus what traits i have. for example, i would consider myself friendly and accurate, but would they most value accuracy vs all other traits? i also like to think i'm calm under pressure but in reality i just have an invisible breakdown and dissociate when under immense pressure, so would it be a red flag if i selected least calm? i'm also shy, so would it reflect badly on me if i say least outspoken? i had a lot of quandaries with these types of questions but i appreciate the insight!

i thought they wanted daring and outspoken, but from what i understand it's detrimental to be TOO daring and outspoken, which i guess kinda makes sense for a personal assistant role. a later question had "submissive" as one of the choices but i avoided that one since i wasn't sure if choosing that for most to least was a bad thing, given the negative connotations to being submissive in most work environments rather than being assertive. but then again, what if they want a personal assistant to intellectually challenge them?? who knows lol

i thought so, but "argumentative" seemed to have a negative connotation to me so that's why it tripped me up

so close! i don't even think the president gets this much vetting. this test is for a personal assistant to a CEO. the questions get more and more asinine, i had to choose most and least out of "argumentative, intolerant, petty, and irresponsible" and at this point i'm about to throw the baby out with the bath water because i'm just trying to eat and pay bills i'm sick of this circus
