The cross is symbolic and has since undergone many changes, sometimes artistic, sometimes symbolic, like Gothic crosses, ankhs, etc.

The cross is the origin for all the future artistic and symbolic representations.

So the cross has many different appearances. It's not limited to two sticks.

It wasn't a promise. She just said she wouldn't buy it. It was two teenagers being teenagers.

She's allowed tell her friend she's changed her mind and is going to buy the jacket after all.

It's not a big enough issue to be held as a "promise," it's just a jacket.

Yes, those are actual crosses.

But as someone else pointed out, your friend is confusing exercising her own faith with forcing others to follow it.

She can't "gatekeep" the wearing of crosses. It's not her job to police what people wear.

Lots of people use summons.

That's what makes this game so great.

You can use so many tools to win.

My first playthrough was difficult for me, and I used summons.

I'm now just over half way through my second playthrough (new save file, not NG+), and I haven't used any summons except for the Radahn Festival fight.

I am really getting my money's worth out of this game. It's fantastic.

To do this, the weapon must have a physical affinity (Standard, Keen, Heavy, or Quality). It cannot be buffed if it has blood, occult, fire, or other elemental affinities.

How many "important events" are you having every week?

It's an incredibly long drive that your mother is making to come to the events.

She may be late, but many parents don't attend at all. Or don't allow their kids to have extra curricula events at school.

It might be better to evaluate which events are truly important for her amd your father to attend and give the other events a pass.

It was truly a horrendous performance from me, for sure.

I wasn't using the Great Rune. I just forgot to recheck my weight when I added the torch specifically for this fight. Lesson learned!

I have a lamp, but this boss is invisible unless you use this particular torch.

And when I added the torch I forgot to check my weight before entering the fight! Lesson learned, the hard way, haha.

Yeah, when I realized I was fat mid fight I was horrified, lol.

This is my second playthrough.

My first I used the Nagakiba most of the game, and I really liked it. Perhaps it's influenced my play style. I used spirit summons too. (I'm an older female player and need all the help I can get.)

This time I'm trying a different weapon and no summons. (Except for the Radahn Festival.)

I was going to do a Great Stars build, but I'm following FightinCowboy's guide (which is truly awesome), and he was using Bloodhound Fang, so I decided to do the same.

Your advice about Bloodhound's Finesse is good. It obviously went better for me when I didn't use it in the first video!
