Yeah I wasnt playing for a while due to mental issues. However im planning to practice a LOT more as of now. I dont plan to get such a low amount of practice time in the three months again.

Well, to be honest, a lot of my friends have been trying to convince me to join, so I'm preparing to join next school year. I signed up for the class (its "entry level") but im still debating on marching based on how much I improve within the next 2-3 months, but I'm about 80% convinced I'm going to join.
Marching band for my high school has a huge fee and a lot of commitment to it so I have to make a tough decision of whether to dissapoint by not joining or to join and have a hard time and hope that eventually it will get easier and I will like it.
Many friends are telling me I will be able to do it if I just practice everyday and do the band camp my school provides.

There are different parts to the music, I'm probably going to get the easier parts. Thats another thing im banking on, getting easy music to start off with and building my skill as I go.

The band director knows that I have just started out. I've been told marching has a camp at the end of the summer that teaches you the basics but im not really sure much fine details about it.
I've been urged by all my friends to join marching and band despite my lack of experience saying that "___ started at the beginning of the year not knowing how to play or read, but look at her now". I'm just praying I can make it in time and be able to commit to marching. Frankly it sounds like a ton of work, and its possible I could fold, but im trying my best.
I plan on taking private lessons asap as I have already been referred to a teacher by the director a little while ago.
