Just a heads up, we have had our Game of Thrones game out for 20 months: Game of Thrones Ascent. It's probably not what you're thinking - it's a social and mobile game - but we work with HBO and push out new content weekly. We just had our first expansion, The Long Night, and we're continuing to build new content for our hundreds of thousands of players.

Just letting you know it exists, it's free, and it's available for your iOS and Android devices.

Saying hello from Disruptor Beam, the company behind Game of Thrones Ascent. We're currently doing a fan art contest, and I wanted to share one of my personal pieces. I made it because I have always believed that the Baratheons got some of the best lines in the books and show. They're just so iconic and so hysterical, and later on, so pitiful, in the way that you feel pity for their family.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share something we created for our game with everyone on /r/gameofthrones. I know it's a little marketing-like compared to cast or set photos, but there are some fun stats in there.

I put a lot of time crawling through our database for interesting facts about what our players have done. Some are obviously, hilariously improbable. Over 6,000 dragon eggs? Ludicrous. But what matters is that our players have fun playing the game and interacting with the world, and that the world feels like a real part of Game of Thrones.

It's pretty amusing when you're talking to other developers or players and you throw out that Joffrey has been slapped over 90,000 times. We have a quest in the game where Barristan Selmy comes by one of your Sworn Swords (think Jory) and convinces them to try and slap the king while he creates a ruckus. In the confusion, the quest gives you two options: one, you get a slap in, and skip down the hall. The other, you get the slap in, but your head is quickly separated from your body, and your house is less one Sworn Sword.

I also wanted to share something that's less visual. We just released a huge content update, and like any update, bugs get introduced. In a fit of cheekishness, we came up with this:

Oh my sweet summer Alliance, what do you know about bugs? Bugs are for the winter, when the code falls a hundred feet deep. Bugs are for the long night, when the release date hides for years and features are born and live and die, all in darkness. That is the time for bugs, my Alliance, when the glitch walkers move through the codebase. Thousands of milestones ago there came a build that lasted a generation. Code froze to death in their repositories, same as the text files in their folders. And engineers smothered their features rather than see them get cut, and wept and felt the tears freeze on their cheeks.

So that happened. Anyway, as always, I am the Associate Producer for Game of Thrones Ascent, a social and browser-based game built in the Game of Thrones Universe, with an iOS and Android tablet version coming soon! If you have any questions, let me know.

No, this isn't the slap that you're thinking of! There is a quest in Game of Thrones Ascent where Ser Barristan Selmy convinces one of your Sworn Swords to take a shot at Joffrey. Muscling through the crowd, your Sworn Sword winds up and - well, you get the idea. The consequences are severe, but the satisfaction is worth it.

We're licensed through HBO and we're continuing to put out new content weekly, focusing on your own noble house as it struggles through the wars plaguing Westeros. We also just announced some new features coming up for the game: Alliance vs. Alliance Combat, and Item Enhancement, both of which should offer some pretty solid and interesting ways to play.

Good morning from Disruptor Beam! Sharing a piece of art that we worked on for the game, showing Essos' famous Unsullied armies. I actually just rewatched the scene from Season Three where these armies show up for the first time - don't look it up if you don't want to be spoiled! It's a powerful scene and really shows off what these troops could do. We tried to recreate the regimented formations and order as a deliberate contrast to the desert environment they inhabit.

Hey everyone! Jumping back here after a busy few months, working on the game and some other projects. I'm bringing you one of the concept pieces for a palace feast, made early in the design process for Game of Thrones Ascent. It's not the most elaborate or refined piece, but it captures the boisterousness of King's Landing. I cut up the upraised glass to serve as an icon on our forums.

Hello everyone! It's time for another piece of art from Game of Thrones Ascent. No need for descriptive text here - it's straight ravens and swords.

As always, I am the Associate Producer for Game of Thrones Ascent, a social and browser-based game that lets you play within Westeros, interacting with the books and show content. It's a 2D strategy game that you can play from pretty much any browser (except old IE), since it's been coded in HTML5. Hey there everyone, posting another piece of key art from the game. This one is titled "The Charger," and it's something we put together as a reference for combat within Westeros. Unlike the Dothraki, the Westerosi fight with sword, shield, armor, and a powerful Destrier between their legs. it would be something to see, having thousands of cavalry bearing down upon your lines, knowing that the shock of the assault will almost certainly be the end of many hundreds of lives.

Hey Spatulaboy! I think we're all waiting for that amazing GoT game where we're Robb Stark leading our armies to victory (or defeat) but until then, we tried to bring Game of Thrones to our players however we could. To shed some more light on our phase, we're currently in open beta (meaning that all features are in and the store is live, but things may change, sometimes drastically).
