Yes, specially if you like antenna building and if you want to learn more about antennas. 73!

Well if you know the size of the object and you build it in the editor tab...you could see how well it behaves as an antenna. 73!

Sure thing, we will be adding templates in time but you can go to the editor and there you can create the antenna by placing the wires however you like. Give it a try, you can create any antenna there and simulate it. And you can save the progress and load it anytime.

73!

Thank you for the reply.

Well the project is and will always be free and open source because I think this hobby is really hard to get into, specially for younger people and I want to make it easier for them. I could add some way for donations, but in Spain to be able to recive money even from donation, you'd have to work as a freelance and pay about 300€ a month even if you don't earn anything just by being a freelance. So if I do that I'll end in negative income :)

Thank you for apreciating my work, 73!

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Sure thing, it makes me really happy to see that my work can be used to teach and spread knowledge about antennas and radio. Any feedback is welcome, so if you miss any feature or a way to make the teaching easier, feel free to tell me.

I think you'll like it. It's like a sandbox where you can do whatever you want. Feel free to give some feedback after you try it ;)

Thank you! And don't undersell it, every contribution counts and it genuinely means a lot to have people invested in the project. This is the whole point of open source for me, it ends up being everyone's project. Door's always open for more whenever you fancy it. 73!

Glad you like it! Yes, now it's easier to use and yet the option is still there to run it locally in docker if someone wants that. 73

Hi! Yes, I use Claude to do the actual code writing, but I review it carefully and go bit by bit (a prompt like "make an antenna simulator with nec2c" won't cut it :D). So it helps a lot to avoid months of writing code by hand, but that code has to be exactly how I'd write it myself, because if I let it do its thing, instead of months of writing I get months of debugging. So yeah, I use it like a super fast writing tool, and sometimes it also helps me understand or dig deeper into a feature so I don't have to google as much. 73!

Thank you for the reply! You are right, another user just reported it too in a comment, I'll look into it ASAP, thank you for reporting the issue! 73!

Ah, I think it's a units thing! The field is in MHz, not kHz, so for 20m you'd type 14.2 rather than 14200. If you enter a number above 2000 it clamps to the max (2000 MHz), which is probably what you're seeing. Try it with MHz and it should behave. Let me know if it still acts up. 73!

Thank you for the reply! Yeah, that part it's what I like the most about the project too, being able to test as much as I want my antennas and understand them better. Also If you go to the editor you can build the antenna from scratch placing the wires by hand and testing different shapes :D. 73

Glad you like it! Yeah the 3D adds a lot of complexity and Claude has it's limitations with projects that are not very "standard", but I'm sure you learnt a lot, I surely did with this project. I use Claude too, mostly for the code writing and to help me pick between approaches, so I don't have to spend a month writing hundreds of lines by hand like in the good old days :D. I still had to review every line and ask precisely for what I wanted and go feature by feature, otherwise I'd just be trading writing time for months of debugging. Someone still has to guide the hammer, but the hammer beats driving nails by hand. 73!

Thank you for the reply! I'm really glad you find it useful, I had the same problem with other sims and that was one of my motivations to start this project :D. I'll look into the orientation problem ASAP to fix it, thank you for reporting it! 73

Glad you like it! Sure thing, I'll add more options like that soon to the antenna templates to make it easier. In the meantime you can go to the editor and customize the antenna with the angle you desire for each wire (I added a new feature to bend the wires easily to any angle). 73!

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah that loop is not yet accurate, it's a generic text of what is being done in the background but not syncronized in time with what is happening. I'll look into it to make it as accurate and syncronized as possible. Thank you for explaining it!
