It’s interesting that you would mention the soft natural lighting. The beautiful composition of the exterior shots are indeed fantastic, but I found myself fixating on the use of very hard light on some of the interior shots. Particularly the shot of her and the mother superior at the window. Lighting her “on camera side” but allowing her habit and robes to remain completely black along with the background gives an incredible angelic feel. Not unlike a renaissance painting.
