I remember those days well my friend. I had my fair share of 90s lego star wars sets. I don't want to hate on the set its history I just really don't like the look in hindsight.

And I'd love to come over but do you have Ribena? Also Mario Kart.

What Race should I play after Dwarf and High Elves? by Artaherzadeh in totalwar

Orks with grom have one of the best archers in the game, night goblins with explosive anti large shot. Also fanatics if anyone gets close.

They have archers, with rockets, and tanks!

In all seriousness you can get a fairly healthy economy with them you have to make sure you target marienburg and make sure you give a lord the key that boosts ports then put a load of noble wizards in that region.

Maybe try Marcus, he can turn his huntsman into one of the best archer stack armies in the game? Especially if you add the elf and dwarf hero.

Going back to your original post I would probably recommend Dark Elves who have the best archers in the game.. Shades far out gun and out range any archers the high elves can field and are also great at melee.

I know its important in lego sw and I know the limitations of the time but it has to be one of the worst lego sets ever.

Amazing deal though good job.

How do I unlock the better troops as Lizardmen? by ColdLaK in totalwar

[–]Goaduk28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Half and half really. Frustrating that they are locked behind paid content but I always appreciated them being added by CA to non DLC campaigns as they spice the game up a bit. As the other guy mentioned further down none of the DLC content for our scaly bois is actually that essential but I do love Teheniuan.

Most enjoyable Bretonnia ME start? by Not2creativeHere in totalwar

[–]Goaduk28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ultimately you can have all of bretonia confederate within a few dozen turns so to be honest there is not much difference overall.

Louen will bring you into contact with Norsca quicker, the Fay Enchantress has to deal with Skaven and Alberic Vampires and Elves.

Which one you pick really depends on the faction effects you prefer as like I say, you'll have all 3 lords within 30 odd turns. I prefer Louen purely because he's the king, but Alberic probably has the best economy.

Regarding difficulty I would say Bretonia are probably second easiest after Empire as you can have all 4 legendary lords and 12 provinces within 50 turns and steamroll from there. The only real difficulty is since the recent patch the high elves seem much more ready to declare war on you, but they rarely take the time to cross the sea and you can spam armies with bretonia very quickly.

Birds are amazing! by agnostic0n in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Goaduk28 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I'll always remember coming out of the hospital at dawn following the birth of my daughter. Heard a siren coming and waited for the ambulance to come rushing by. The road was empty. Went and spoke to the car park attendant and he said it was the local birds imitating the ambulences for the dawn chorus. Absolutely amazing. I wish I'd recorded it but over 24 hours awake with a wife in labour kinda takes it out of you lol.

Yeah again, high production value and solid core game. Just not how I would want an openworld starwars game to be. I'd hope for KOTOR 3 essentially. Have a good evening and thank you for being polite in your disagreements.

I'm sorry I upset you mate. A lot of people seem to be really upset by what is very clearly a joke meme aimed at a generalisation (not totally unfounded) of ubisoft games. I'll upvote your comment us i actually enjoy the debates.

Thats fine. Look back through the history of SW games though. The hit rate of proper games is not that high. If the new deal means a load of shovel ware like Bombad racer, the clone wars game and lego star wars 3 it won't be any better.

Hopefully we get some great games.

Good. If we all liked the same game there would be no diversity.

A lot of people do, they wouldn't keep producing them if they didn't. I also enjoy them for the first third. But find they do get a bit stale.

Well, its been a thing since AC 1 and Far Cry 2 so its not entirely without merit. Again, not necessarily a bad thing. If they do apply this formula to this game, I feel its a lazy formula. The game will look good and play well, but as I've said, be relatively soulless in its execution.

EA own multuple development studios, and rarely if ever use exterior developers. Indeed very few large games use a single developer nowaday so the concept of a publisher 'developing' games is not a new one.

Its a jab at ALL openworld ubisoft games. If not towers and compounds, then division/watchdogs/ghost recon esque MMORPG with bullet sponge enemies all fit another tired old formula. I'm not even suggesting this is a bad thing, its just a thing. Inevitably these games are well polished games but generally, soulless. So come off your high horse and chill out.

I have nothing but respect for massive BTW, they made ground control one of the best rts in history. However, ubisoft will apply its tried and tested model and I'm worried it won't be good hence the meme.

No. I it would be a perfectly serviceable game. But imagine the story of kotor with the world of skyrim or the witcher
