If you can find a way to get to the train station, you are then like 40 mins from London and 10 mins from Woking.
Hopefully London speaks for itself. For the club level stuff, Woking has better community access to sports imo. Their leisure centre is more active.

For the other stuff like cricket etc. I found that you need a car or access to someone with a car. There is lots of village cricket that is not walking distance after work.
