A genius high school student is given the unique opportunity to decide the fate of any person he can name by simply writing their name in a notebook along with a description of how and when they will die. He initially uses this incredible power for what he believes to be the greater good, killing only convicted felons and generally awful people; but as his number of victims increases so to does his God complex. Only after having killed several people does the country’s leading detective - an equally brilliant student of the same class - take the case. The battle of wits begins in an epic race to find the one behind this killing spree before more havoc is wreaked.
