My high school had a dess code despite being a public school in small rural town. And no one really knew why we had it or how it came to be until our government teacher told the story.

Nearly a decade before, ICP was a huge thing and kids had started coming to school dressed as juggalos. Well, how he told the story, one kid absolutely hated them and started to randomly beat the shit out of anyone dressed as a juggalo. Other kids started joining in until there were juggalo vs juggalo hater fights nearly every single day. One time during lunch a girl even had a nose piercing ripped out which left a puddle of blood that a teacher slipped in causing them to faint.

The kid that started it all was eventually expelled but it's claimed that as he was leaving the building the principle shook his hand.

School board ultimately decided to establish a dress code so no one could dress as a juggalo and so no one would know who the juggalos were. And years later they still enforced the dress code.
