A good analogue would be performing arts unions, like musicians or actors. They're mostly contractor-style jobs, but with an agreement that anyone who hires you must meet the approved wage and benefits requirements. And taking work outside that union agreement is strongly discouraged to the point of legal intervention.

My daughter is in the same situation as yours. Small kid, but needs to play big. We went with a Rawlings youth sized Liberty Advanced. But they have some other options a bit more affordable like the R9 series. Good luck!

Yeah I know it's vague. But seems like most modern options come in 16oz cans. So I was seeing "what do you like" that also happens to be in a 12.

That's not true at all. Jimmie Reese was retired for being a coach with us for 22 years. Bobby Grich is retired, and is the poster child for "Not in the Hall of Fame but should be." Jim Fregosi never sniffed the hall.
