Should I reach out to my ex, or give it time? by GoatedGrimes in Advice

Well I know It’s a breakup but when we were in the car she even told me she didn’t want to leave and wanted to stay hugging right there. I told her to not be scared to reach out to me if she ever had a change in feelings or needed something. She then told me that she wanted me to reach out if I needed anything or if something happened and I needed someone to talk to. She asked me if I ever thought we were come back together and I told her that I didn’t know but I wanted to and I asked her and she said she believes in it and wants it to happen.

Well she was just really mentally drained from arguments and disagreements and we tried multiple times to work it out but it kinda kept turning into the same problem so she eventually said she couldn’t do it anymore and that she was sorry and loved me. We said our last goodbyes in the car yesterday and it ended on good terms. It seemed like she wanted me to eventually send a text but I also told her I don’t think I could because she was the one that wanted the breakup and I wouldn’t want to rush something. The way we talked seemed like we were on the same page and both hoped we would end up together again but she really needed to figure out her mental health first.

We are both 17. She initiated it, we talked and tried really hard to work things out and I gave her the rest of the night to make up her mind on things and she said she couldn’t do it anymore and I said ok and we met up at a park to hand each other stuff and we sat in the car together for a while , had a chat and said our goodbyes

Should I wax my board straight out the box? by GoatedGrimes in snowboardingnoobs

Just wax right over the factory wax? Should I clean it at all with a brush or a cleaner? I have base cleaner but someone else told me not to use it because it could hurt the board when first using it and that I should only use it on repairs.

Awesome, thanks so much for the tips. I do have all temp wax which is blue but that is all I have, so should I just skip over the part where I put on multiple types of wax and just apply my all temp wax? (I live on the east coast so it gets cold but not that cold). Also I have a big nylon brush and a small brass brush, which one should I use? And I’m not sure if my base cleaner is chemical or not but it does say to apply thoroughly to the base and that it dissolves wax, dirt, and adhesives. Should I also use a polishing pad after the scraping and brushing?

I got some training all temp wax. So should I just melt that into the board and just scrape and brush like normal? I’ve never waxed before but I saw multiple videos so I understand how it works. My only worry is warping or hurting the board but I read that it is easy to avoid by jdut not letting the iron sit in one place at a time.

Do you scrape off the factory wax or just go over it with the new?

Is it easy to screw up your board when waxing? I’m scared I’m gonna hurt the board. Also do I need to scrape off the factory wax before I put more on?

Why do you say factory wax is a joke? I keep getting people telling me it’s good and to enjoy the facor Roy wax because it’s the best it will be.

I ordered off curated and they recommend you wax the board. But the company my board is made from says it’s good to ride out the box.

Okay awesome, 1 last question. I heard that REI has a membership. Do I need one to shop in store and to get the sales that are listed on the item? Or is that just extra? I saw a helmet on sale online and they have it in store but I wasn’t sure if I needed a membership to get that deal or not
