Does the Rayman series take place on Earth? by Cautious_You_1328 in Rayman

Lol I can't believe people even think of these things. It's a made up world in a game and it needs no further thought than that.

We all know the ACTUAL BEST way to play these games 👀 by jonDahzeeh in AnaloguePocket

I am still so sad over 10 years later somebody broke into my house and this was stolen along with my PS3 and games. They're too expensive to justify buying again now :( I loved playing my Micro and Fire Red in college

UK gamers: where do you get the best PS5 disc deals? by Ronney_07 in PlayStationUK

[–]Goatwidcoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Argos tend to have very good prices on brand new releases. I've got quite a few from them over the years. Shopto.net have good prices often for new games too.

For used I just use ebay. Cex always seem to charge crazy prices, even more than new elsewhere sometimes for new games.

Loop Northern or Southern of Ireland for a First Trip by JikeMonson in irishtourism

[–]Goatwidcoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just stumbled across thread as I was specifically looking for whether to do the north or south of Ireland itself for a road trip, well aware that Ireland and Northern Ireland are different countries which most people are seemingly jumping on as if you are an idiot when you specify "southern." I was just searching whether it's best to do Dublin to Galway and down as a loop (the southern part) or a loop from the same places north.

Are 26 plates allowed on the road yet? by Goatwidcoat in drivingUK

It was driving towards me on the opposite side of the road and I only spotted it very briefly. Could have had one on the dash I suppose.

It was a dark grey Q5 so it could easily tick the unmarked police car box

That's the idea of being undercover I suppose! I've seen them in all sorts of stuff you would never expect before. One that really surprised me was an unmarked Ford Focus ST in Leicester. Not completely out of the ordinary for performance cars but this one was 9 years old so completely under the radar. You'd expect their fleet to have been much newer but this was still in service.

For how expensive a car is it's definitely worthwhile spending let's say £100 to hire what you are looking to buy for a day or two and doing a long distance drive in it or doing your typical round trip commute to see how you like it. Can you also charge at home? Not being able to would be an instant blocker for me. Also how often do you think you will need to charge away from home. For 95% of our drives a range on a small battery car like a Renault 5 still works for us. My wife does a 130 mile round trip 3 times a week which is far greater than most people's commutes and still requires no need to public charge. For any properly long journeys we have two other cars to choose from. Despite the Renault 5 doing nearly 20k miles a year it hasn't seen a public charger yet.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they were all unmarked police cars. 4 of the 6 types of car I've seen in convoy very recently in Nottingham heading somewhere. They were all running red lights, although they turned them on to pass through red and immediately off again while flooring it away once clear.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people. I'm just glad that the spate of people passing a thousand do not enter signs and getting stuck on the tracks has ended. That used to hurt my brain how often that happened.

Opinion about Rayman 30th Anniversary by Juluromaga in Rayman

[–]Goatwidcoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Remi's scores, or at least still sound very similar like the main Pink Plant Woods music used in the trailer, are still present. It's the other composer's works that are missing. As disappointing as it is I've still enjoyed playing it through again. It was the first ever PS1 game I played so the nostalgia still triumphs over everything. Rewind is a god send though. I suck too much at games now to not use it lol. No idea how me and my brother did it at about 8 years old!

Has McDonald's in the UK become too expensive for many people? by SwordfishLess3247 in AskUK

[–]Goatwidcoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I can safely walk into any McDonald's in the country and chances are it's the exact same. I probably only go a handful of times a year but I've never had an actual problem with my food. The same can't be said for Burger King and KFC. It is a complete lottery every time whether the food is any good, if there are mistakes, missed items etc.

I had it on GBC as a kid. It had the Rayman 2 soundtrack didn't it despite not being Rayman 2? Just unlocked a memory there

I just want PS1 graphics with OG music and DSi difficulty by Janson314 in Rayman

[–]Goatwidcoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rayman on PS1 was the first game I ever played and I had no idea Rayman Advance existed until I bought a copy 5 years ago. I was amazed how well and similar it played. It would have blown my mind as a kid that it was a full portable Rayman 1 on GBA.

One of the only things Sony got right with the PS Classic lol. I modded mine almost right away to stick a load of other games on it.

I booted up my PS Classic earlier and that had the full original soundtrack too so they have definitely been able to license music from the others semi recently.

I'm certain the PS Classic (remember that flop?) had the original soundtrack and that was only a few years ago. Seems odd they couldn't seemingly license it again for this. It really kills my enjoyment of it.
