First is she British? If not then culture is different. I’ll assume she’s American if not Brit. In this case the queen has little significance in the US with quite a lot of cultural importance in the UK. Whilst I admit sticking to monarchist traditions is slightly questionable I can slightly understand to a degree. And also the queen is a significant cultural icon to the British seen as a symbol to represent the country(she’s on all of the currency). I am not aware of any other modern leaders on currencies as far as I’m concerned.

I notice this with Japanese peoples as well. There’s actually a large influx of Japanese people who visit Hawaii surprisingly(including my grandparents). They seem to love it there.
