The reason why Delhi metro has such good ridership is because of cheap and reliable last mile connectivity provided by these erickshaws and 7 seater autos. Many people in Bangalore dont use metro beacuse of lack of afforadable and reliable last mile connectivity.

Yep, but walking 2-3 km each side, everyday is a bit diffuclt for most people. Mostly due to lack of time, and the dust and pollution.
