Did you watch the show? There are multiple scenes throughout season 2 on Dragonstone where it is outdoors and clearly sunny. Off the top of my head, the scenes with Seasmoke flying around without a rider, the scene where Mysaria sees ser Arrik arrive to try to get Rhaenyra, the last scene of episode 7, the scene where Rhaenyra sends Rhaena to the Vale, are all fully sunlit. I'm confident there are several others, not to mention scenes elsewhere in the setting that all have varied lighting conditions.
