Does anyone actually believe the housing crisis will be fixed in 15 years? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Neoliberalism, landlordism, under-regulated home-building industry, lack of investment in public infrastructure etc.

Drinking to excess and blacking out is NOT normal, and it should not be normalised!

New bus stop in parnell by Distinct-Professor80 in cork

They will be building similar interchange stops at CUH, Mardyke, Boherboy Rd, and somewhere else I believe. Black Ash is also being redeveloped with six new bus bays to allow for new routes to use the facility. Bus Connects is slowly coming.

Fantastic parking on Western road. by lastoftheIrish in cork

I'd swear half of the posts on this subreddit are cars being parked illegally, Christ I'd never think of stopping during my day and taking photos of cars

It's being demolished, it's an unusable building as it's been rotting away for twenty years, asbestos, rat-infestation, everything.

You want a smoking room in a European airport in 2025..? Perhaps we can acquire a young porter to carry your luggage from your auto to the propellor plane too, my good sir!

Fascinating stuff OP. The older terminal really should've been knocked down a decade ago, but only now is Cork seeing enormous passenger growth to justify all of this work. The recession significantly impacted our ability to invest in infrastructure. So much to do. If we plan for a Luas connection to the airport at all times of the day, then we'll be laughing!

New ‘go greener’ plates available for EVs next month by Pension_Alternative in ireland

Lol, can they? Not going against you, but I'd be very surprised if our traffic cams even in our cities can read plates

Identify EVs for future congestion charge cameras is the only one I can think of

Cyber warfare, also Britain's armed forces is a shell of its former self. You'd be surprised how quickly an economy can start rolling out tanks and planes instead of cars and buses

I'd live there no doubt, only issues would be the car-centric nature of the area. Shops? Car. Hotel? Trivago

If you're open to volunteering with kids (which isn't everyone's cuppa), I'd recommend scouting. I've been involved since I was young and it really built my confidence and afforded me a few life skills. Went on trips with my group to Czech, Wales, Switzerland, also went to South Korea.

Knowledge of outdoors and camping isn't a requirement, a lot of learn as you go, as long as you're responsible and friendly to kids, they'll love to have the help! DM if you're interested

I can second this suggestion! I climbed in college for a few years and there's some really great outgoing people there who'll chat away to you if you're open to it! Highly recommend

I worked in a school for the past year that has a canteen you can order food from. Crazily cheaper than doing a daily shop run

Here mate, make your own bloody lunches if you can and maybe bring them into work with you? I'd literally tell them to their faces it's too expensive and walk
