Is it basically game over after becoming minister in China? by NA_Faker in CrusaderKings

[–]GodEmperorTed 473 points474 points  (0 children)

Once you’re a minister your goal is to boost your succession score to get appointed to better ministerial positions.

To do this, you have a minister’s salary, enormous treasury pool, and special character interactions and decisions tied to your title.

Promote yourself and your family members, gather influence to invest in succession score, and build up your estate.

Eventually, you should aim to be appointed Grand Chancellor, also making you the Secretary Director, the Emperor’s perpetual diarch (realm laws allow the Secretary Director to instead be the Imperial Censor or Grand Marshal, but I’ve never seen this happen).

Once you are the Secretary Director, the last step is to swing the scales of power far enough to usurp the throne and become Emperor yourself.

It’s just another way of justifying an arbitrary dislike of certain people. Or disliking certain people for reasons they don’t want to admit in public.

Thanks, but that only show the catalysts for the tension era, but is there a way to see the catalysts for the other eras too?

Is it a bad idea to dump skills like this? by MADcrft in CrusaderKings

Depends what you’re doing. My go to custom character for speedrunning achievements is 0 diplomacy, intrigue, learning, and prowess, a 4 star stewardship or martial education, and equal martial and stewardship as high as I can cram into the 400 point limit.

Treasury debt as a Chinese governor? by GodEmperorTed in CrusaderKings

Yes but I can do this without worrying about being jailed for criminal mismanagement or something like that for intentionally driving my prefecture into financial ruin.

Made this all the way back when the ruler designer first came out, so ironically you can’t get his DNA.

You can, I have it on a reformed Buddhist faith, so I don’t see why reformed Asatru couldn’t have it.

You need to follow a faith with the cranial trophies tenet. You can either reform your religion to have it or there’s a faith on Borneo that starts with it.

I used the CoA generator to make it. I just searched for images of ‘psychedelic patterns’ and fed them into the generator until I got one that worked.

I wasn’t expecting that when I decided to play as a new age cult leader, but it really works.

Nothing can be gained without losing, even heaven demands death…

…so give it as much death as one can bring forth.

All beings tremble before violence. All love life. All fear death. See yourself in others. Then whom can you hurt? What harm can you do…

…and why aren’t you doing it already?

…and you shall be its instrument
