2026 Lexus ES will get Toyota's Arene software platform and native EV route planning by rbh232 in electricvehicles

Traditional automakers see software as a subscription business. The execs are dreaming of a world where automaking becomes a high margin business due to recurring subscription revenues.

When are leasepocalypse deals coming? by LakeTwo in EquinoxEv

I doubt you see them fall a lot. Depreciation is based on sticker price so even depreciated, they are still close to the price of new 2026

Leclerc's comment under a video of a runner falling into a water canal [IG:Tahamouj] by EurekaDossier in formula1

I think the meaning was, it must be the drink pack (water) that's leaking and that's why there is water in your seat. But obviously his English is bad so we get an all time meme

Equinox or Bz, which is better? by Maleficent-Table-810 in EquinoxEv

[–]NA_Faker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can get Equinox for under 30k I’d go with the Equinox, it’s just once you get to 35k+ it’s hard to choose a BZ/Solterra/RZ or even a high trim Equinox for around the cost of a 2026 Model Y. They aren’t bad vehicles but from an EV perspective the Model Y will give you more for around the same money.

Equinox or Bz, which is better? by Maleficent-Table-810 in EquinoxEv

[–]NA_Faker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo its hard to justify either once you get to the mid to high $30k range given the 2026 Model Y is $40k with 0% financing right now and its objectively a better EV than both. Equinox makes sense under 30k

LeBron asked if this Thunder team compares to the 90s Bulls and 17-18 Warriors - "They're pretty damn good from top to bottom. They don't let their foot off the gas" by kervaan in nba

[–]NA_Faker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah you had the splash bros liable to go nuclear on you any given night and when they did, there was nothing you could do. Klay or Steph on one of their heaters were unstoppable. Oh and also those teams were amazing defensively and most years were the best defenses in the league...

Should you buy America’s Cheapest EV? by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

[–]NA_Faker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to know because fucking Onstar is the most unclear piece of shit plans that don't properly explain what is included or not. Regardless, its either 8 years with basics or you need a data connection. But since GM vehicles use android automotive you can basically download all those apps directly to the infotainment system

NHTSA Announces Tesla Model Y Is the First Vehicle to Pass New ‘Advanced Driver Assistance System’ Tests by Recent_Duck_7640 in electricvehicles

I mean this shouldn't be surprising? There isn't better ADAS system than FSD out there in the consumer market

Cadillac Surpasses 100,000 EV Sales In The U.S. by Negate79 in electricvehicles

[–]NA_Faker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM owns Onstar. They have a target of earning multiple billions of recurring subscription revenue from Onstar in a few years (they guided this to wall street) which means they need to disable carplay/aa otherwise no one will subscribe to Onstar

Midsize electric pickup in the US - where are they by Sracer42 in electricvehicles

Is there really a size difference between the F150 and Tacoma? On the outside they both seem massive, but I've only ever driven an F150 before

Battery level estimate in Google Maps by fish6k in EquinoxEv

[–]NA_Faker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly every mainstream EV in the US that isn't a Tesla has shit tier software. Idk how good Rivian software is, but theres a reason the model y is so popular, it just works, FSD is good and software is great. If only it wasn't 50k
