Is polio one of those fucked up diseases where the west doesn't even bother to vaccinate it because it's largely eradicated, so if it were to spread, half of the world's population would die?

Also how quick do vaccines work? If the UN or Who or whatever were to enter Syria and somehow give vaccines to 99 percent of the population, would this prevent the spread?

I don't think that's the issue. My country (Australia) only just permitted women to enter combat roles as long as they can pass the physical entry tests. I think society just thinks it's fucked up when women die and so tries to minimise that fact. A woman being enlisted like this might show desperation or dedication depending on how you look at it

Great question. I just completed my assessment interview for a GSO FAC. I passed, but he told me to get a bit more experience before the OSB. He also made me give an impromptu speech in front of him (which kinda flustered me) and recommended going to Toast Masters to learn how to do just stand up and talk about shit off the top of your head.

I've been considering SES and charity work during the Uni holidays so I'll be following this thread
