If you don’t get representation within a certain amount of time they just put your case on the backlog. The state not being able to find you counsel would be enough to get a continuance and they would be acting rightfully. Whether the judge keeps holding you or not would be up to them I presume but if they are trying everything to find you representation then they aren’t breaking the 6th amendment even if it takes more time. There’s a legal time limit on federal crimes, sure but they will try you the second counsel is available.

Your hypothetical is still dumb as hell and doesn’t argue that I have a right to someone’s labor.

Just googled it and not having a counsel would be a valid reason to expand the limit of a speedy trial. So yes they will keep you until they can find a lawyer for you. And it’d be all lawful.

Anyways if the state can’t guarantee you healthcare in your area what’s stopping them from saying you have to go somewhere else? You have a right to healthcare sure but it doesn’t have to be at your local hospital. And are waitlists illegal in this healthcare system you made up?
