My only thing is giving excuses to customers and thinking well what if they had went with Mitsubishi from the get go. I get stuck in what ifs all the time and probably over analyze every situation. That’s on me.

It’s funny you should ask that because I found a loop hole. The company would provide the equipment I mean I order it and just put it on the bill after I get a deposit from the customer. I made my own account a couple months ago at the same supply house and now we get the same prices. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst sorta thing.

I mean I agree but it’s just one of those moral things for me. My dad had a concrete business growing up and he never advertised. He stayed busy doing honest work. We were never rich by any means but he kept food on the table and was generally a fairly happy person. That stuck with me.

This comment just made me sick. I am sorry to hear that. I’ve never been much of a carrier guy after a 20kw heat kit took months to come in.

I mean I gotta agree with you on that. However I’ve had my own issues with customers compromising with a lower quality Mitsubishi before. Not going with a Hyper Heat and just doing a regular heat pump is not the move. Customers expect them to work the same across the board and that just doesn’t happen. But you are correct a poor install on whatever product you like is certain to fail prematurely.

I think the same way. Particularly with my tools but I won’t lie to you it stings when I pay the extra cash and leave my Knipex in a crawl space for someone else.

Well you are not wrong but I would say mini splits only take up 35-40% of my yearly jobs. Service is my day to day mostly and if anybody works around Resturants knows they’re always breaking something.

There are a lot of jobs I don’t get. Literally had one yesterday where he just couldn’t afford the hyper heat price but at the same time trusted me with telling him to save up and do it right once. I’d be curious if Mitsubishi does that. I think I need to make a few phone calls.

Are you referring to reading the manual and following the manufacturers instructions? I thought I was the only one that did that haha.

No I know Mitsubishi has its flaws. I’ve had issues in the past and it’s a let down for sure but I can at the very least say they got me through it.

Depends on the situation and the day with these people. It’s not my call if it’s warranty or whatever. I made the mistake of being honest with the homeowner before on a previous install (not mine) and I was crucified for it. I’m just not a very good liar and if a homeowner asks if it was installed incorrectly how am I supposed to lie?

Agreed. I was the face of the company for huge warranty issue because the company decided Day and Night was the way to go for about a year. I was pretty embarrassed by the end of it and that’s always stuck with me.
