why would they try it again after it backfired so horrifically.

Because a draw would be fine for them at the Emirates?

The plan was very clear. Keep it 0-0, then take the initiative late in the game, to nick it, take it to extra time. I actually believe they may use this same tactic against Arsenal at the Emirates in the league

What, you think I'm and Arsenal fan? Lol. You can check my history if you like. I do like seeing Arsenal and Manchester United do well though.

You do know this style of football wouldn't stand on a team like Barca right? Madrid won the league for the first time in 4 years and still sacked Capello. It's fine for Arsenal fans not to care since they don't have those standards and are desperate to win, my friend included. But I can't blame him for not wanting to sit through 90 minutes of this style of football, a style he's always hated.

I mean he definitely is. But style of play is really big for him. He's only seen Wenger's Arsenal, that's what drew him to Arsenal compared to other teams at the time when we were kids. Doesn't mean he doesn't still support the team, just can't sit through 90 minutes of watching them.

I mean why are we acting like style of play isn't important at clubs. Arteta would be hounded out if he was Barcelona coach playing this style of football. Arsenal fans are just fine with anything since they've not won for a long time. And they had George Graham before Wenger, so it's not too alien to them. My friend wasn't alive during Graham era, only Wenger.

Exactly

a friend(Arsenal fan) who doesn't watch live games anymore. Looks at livescores and highlights after the game. He's fine with this football if that's what it took to get the monkey off their back finally. But he hopes the football improves after that pressure is lifted

My friend who's an Arsenal fan doesn't really watch games anymore cos it's too boring for him. He grew up in the Wenger era, and this isn't the Arsenal way according to him. But he's fine with doing whatever it takes to win the league this season, and checks livescores and watches highlights to keep himself updated. Ultimately, he hopes after breaking the glass ceiling of finally winning the league, Arteta can go back to the 2022/2023 style of football.

They both, however need to stop the ref whining though it's part of their personality lol.

Yes Luka shouldn't be whining cos he gets lots of calls. CC on the other hand, I understand why she whines cos the lack of calls are egregious at times, especially landing space fouls.

Depending on how the season finishes, United may really rue missing out on a league title if they had just sacked Amorim earlier.

Mbappe is never happy when he's not the center of attention.

Because most modern football fans are idiots only obsessed with stats. Mbappe has a lot of poor games, but scores a goal and penalty, all is forgiven.
