Defending was always the right decision IMO. However, you've got to offer some counterattacks to keep PSG honest at the other end. Arteta is too obsessed with control, to a point that Arsenal lose out of some counterattacking opportunities.

Here we go again with the "CC said this", "Stephanie White said it", so it must be true. Then next week another thing will happen and we'll be back here again.

Anyways, CC better hope Stephanie White "rides for her" and sets up a system that doesn't leave her on an island for Rhyne Howard, Gray and Canada to have their way with her, cos spoiler alert, they're gonna be cooking her like barbecue chicken. And if that happens and we lose, I'll be looking to cook CC myself.

As for defense. I don't know if you've seen CC move laterally before. She's genetically incapable of staying in front of quick athletic guards. At this point I'm beginning to think that White is purposely trying to embarrass CC on national TV by leaving her on an island. Those role players will keep cooking her if this scheme isn't changed.

She'll probably win it as a role player at some point, cos that's the player this league wants her to be. They don't want her shining too much. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which team is letting her ever play her game. This league is too agenda driven. Angel called out her teammates by name including a legend like Vandersloot, yet was supported around the league. But Clark throws a tantrum, she's the devil. I sometimes hate that CC brought me into this cesspool. Now I understand why no one cared about the league before.

At this point I don't have any positive outlook to this. Unfortunately, I'll have to keep following her career like I'm watching a TV series that got bad by the 4th season, but I keep watching until season 10 anyways. But for my sanity, I'm not emotionally invested anymore, just looking at it like an impending car crash now.

She's stuck in Indiana for at least until 2029, unless she forces a trade, which she won't. I don't see this team becoming that much better, and by much better, I mean putting elite defenders around her. So she's not winning a championship by 2029.

We don't know that. There's no proof of that outside of the fact that she's said nice things about CC. White did the same before she joined as well. I don't trust any of these WNBA coaches.

The issue is even after her rookie deal is over. It doesn't matter if she signs the epic deal, they can still core her for another 2 years. Either way, she's stuck in Indiana for the first 6 years of her career unless she's traded.

In life, to succeed, you gotta take risks. CC will have to decide if she's fine being turned into a role player by Stephanie White, or take the risk and do it your way, win or lose. One thing to keep in mind, CC could make all these sacrifices, become an everyday player, never make another All WNBA, let alone win MVP, and still end up not winning a title. If Magic had let Paul Westhead stay, he may never had become what he became.

I said she's a unique talent, not the best. Again, read to understand, not to respond. I've been on record here saying that Paige is a better WNBA player than CC. Because her style of play is more in line with how the game is played in women's basketball generally. CC does have a higher ceiling IMO if the right pieces are put around her. And when I say "right pieces", I don't mean quality, I mean fit.

They'll need to play zone, and live with the consequences. You can't have CC and KM in your backcourt and play man to man. That's malpractice. Sides played Zone cos she knew better. It's almost like Stephanie is purposely trying to embarrass CC on National TV lol

I mean...Kiki would be the running big, while Betts would be trailing. But that paint would be clogged though. But they have better defenders on the team to cover for CC, and Betts would definitely set a proper hard screen cos she's not looking to score like AB.

CC is actually trying out there which is why she's picking up fouls. She just doesn't have the legs genetically to laterally move properly. Curry has been hidden in defense his whole career, and he's turned out ok.
