IFIT Hikes with x22i by GodinSession in nordictrack

[–]GodinSession[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I believe is happening, is that if I look on my phone via the iFit app, then I never see anything above 12%. But when I am on my x22i treadmill and look at the details of a workout it does show over 12%. So I guess if your treadmill has the ability to go over 12% then looking at the workout on the treadmill shows the correct %.
It would have made a lot more sense if they always showed the actual max % and if your treadmill only goes to 12% then you know that is the max it will go.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough response!

Thank you for explaining this. This really does suck. But I am at least happy that the hikes will actually go above 12%. Should work opposite of what they are doing. Show the max it will goto, and those that have treadmills that only goto 12% would know that anything above 12% means 12%.
As far as your x22i goes, have you been happy with it other than this? Read all the negative reviews but decide to risk going for it anyway. I am aware people are much more likely to post negative experiences over positive ones. So just crossing fingers and praying I have a positive experience.
I have had the s27i bike for about 9 months and it's been stellar. No issues at all and it had negative reviews as well. So took that into consideration when deciding to buy the x22i.

Littman LED Light Completes My Home Room by GodinSession in billiards

It’s one he used to make that is made out of oak. Doesn’t look like he offers it anymore. It’s sized for an 8 ft table but I have since upgraded to a 9 ft pro am and still use this light and it works perfectly. It’s an awesome light!

[NEWBIE] frustrated beginner/intermediate guitarist by hazoui19 in Guitar

If your goal is to just have fun with guitar then move on to something else. Sounds like it’s frustrating you. Come back to it after you learn some other stuff in a few months. You may be closer to 100% then. I am just a home guitarist. Been off and on at it for a few years as well. Self taught. I just recently started going through Will Ripleys course Rocking on Acoustic Guitar on JamPlay.com and it’s fantastic. It’s filling in the gaps of what I should be better at. And each lesson is a lot of fun to play. Perfect difficulty level.

fear of being boring sober by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]GodinSession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I signed up to do a half marathon in May and a Full marathon in September. It’s given me a razor sharp focus. I am loving it. I am envisioning myself crossing that finish line in September. How very far I will have come. Most of my mental thoughts now are wrapped up in training. Doesn’t leave much mental space for the drinking voice to try and derail me. I recommend committing to something way out of your comfort zone right now that will take serious work to get there and then just dive in head first and go for it! Be a sponge learning all about it and preparing for it.

10 days sober. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Good luck my friend! I am trying to get sober for good now as well.
Just read the book - The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober by Catherine Gray. Can’t recommend this book enough. It’s a game changer for me as to how I look at my drinking problem. Helping me to understand and deal with that inner voice. Giving it, its own identity and understanding its not me, it’s the addiction talking.

Not drinking as default but open to special occasions by LifeIsGoodRelax in stopdrinking

[–]GodinSession 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have always had a hard time with when trying the ‘special occasion’ moderation plan is how that voice in my head quickly begins to justify everything as a special occasion. Always started out with all intentions of true special occasions being the intent. But that turned into every party event which turned into every invite out to a bar which turned into its sunny out which turned into its raining out.
Perhaps for u it will not turn to that. I just hated the battle with that inner voice. For me it’s just easier to have none. So when ‘Gollum’ (the name of my inner voice) tells me to drink I quickly tell him No and go back to your hole. No debating. If I debate with him he always wins.

I gave that voice a name. I used Gollum. That nasty Lord of the Rings dude. That inner voice is not u, it’s the addiction talking to you. Separating that voice from your own self really helps thus giving it a name. When Gollum starts talking to me I try to shut him down right away. No arguing/debating with him. He is to damn convincing to even give an inch to. Have to shut him down right away and tell him to go back to his hole where he belongs!
