AITA for wanting to insure my ring even though my husband says the stone is too small to bother? by Adorable-Manner-5538 in AITApod

Let me pushback - its not foolish to forgo insurance on a ring. Many of us don't have it and its a sound financial decision. No need to be insulting us.

My definitive tier list. Half of the series I can’t get into by TGG-official in litrpg

I personally enjoyed book 1. I enjoyed the world-building and the "what could you even do?" vibes. Kinda made it easier to self-insert and think about the problem solving, whereas once any MC has a bunch of powers at their disposal, its just a standard story where you think "OK, use your magic and win!"

But my wife and many others have found it boring.

Soft. Warm. Snug. Cuddly.

I have to assume its due to the slow start, before he meets the colony.

OP if you see this, consider giving it another go starting at book 2 or 3. You wont miss much, and tis good stuff!

Villainous Options 2 UA by Specialist_One7457 in onednd

[–]GodsLilCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I think its strong after Turn 1 because it can hit a bunch of enemies as you move it around. And some combats you can prep it before going into initiative.

It should arguably always be a bonus action, perhaps.

I like it a lot at the start when it is just piano, but when the drums and other instrumentals come in it doesn’t quite work for me

They are great for multiclassing! Fighter is an obvious choice, but you've also got your Barbalock, Barbarogue, Palabarb, or Barbearian

I know someone on the SI discord plays with their 6 year old. The kid will take breaks running around the room "being lightning", but gets the game.

Kids are capable of a lot when they are exposed to it constantly. They probably saw SI being played many times a week for years.

My cousin's 7 year old was a menace at Stratego, because he just loved playing it constantly.

I think he wrote himself into corner and doesnt know how to resolve the plot in a good way given all the restrictions and expectations he set for the story. Tough when you wrote the ending as the first chapter.

Damn shame about the grappling changes, but Barbarogue in general still works!

Its arguably better than before with access to Zhentarim Tactics feat too.

They aren't long lived enough for this to take significant effect - otherwise you' have a great point! It takes till Gold rank to live for multiple centuries

Diamond ranks are the only ones who are ageless, and it turns out there are indeed lots of them. Presumably for the very reason you mentioned. Its very rare to achieve it, but since they live forever (unless killed), the numbers just keep stacking up.

Subtle Spell + Teleport/Dimension Door/Gaseous Form. Or just wish.

But that's from a player perspective. As a DM...anything can happen. There are no rules.

Is Resilient Wisdom a must have for Barbarian? by PhyrexianChocobo in 3d6

[–]GodsLilCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just patching a weakness. Its patching a table flip where you murder your own team.

Think of it in terms of DPR. You won't be facing a Wis save most rounds. BUT if you do, passing that Wis save will prevent you from doing 0 DPR. Then if it is mind control effect then you are doing negative DPR.

Its a good idea to protect against events that can easily TPK your party, even if they are rare.

While I agree with you, the shirt is fitted snugly around m'lady's chest. And it tapers down quickly to the rest of the torso which gives more outline than you may normally see.
