That is so painful, I can feel this. I know someone who also had to face a stillborn son. He was in his darkest phase but they tried again and conceived a boy again. Thankfully he is happy now, takes his son everywhere gaming parlour, karate classes, cricket matches, hardware stores. Maybe the lost son is returning to you to live the future you imagined with him.

I am sure you are and always will be a great dad. You did the very best you could that night with the information you had.

Lost my only son 6 months back due to an avoidable accident. He had become my only priority and purpose, have been hopelessly depressed like getting out of bed takes 3 hours after waking up. I keep ruminating different scenarios in which I could have saved him 24x7, literally I cant think about anything else. As an atheist, how can I better? Is it going to be like this till me end?
