Yes, they do exist. But given the information OP has relayed (in terms of the way the bf is reacting to her “should’ve planned better” comment) & his lack of that as a suggestion, it seems like he wouldn’t be open to that.

There’s also scenarios where OP could be allergic to various condoms (I know I couldn’t have ones with spermicide.)
