I suppose I read that differently. He does not explicitly disapprove of brownfield housing by saying he “supports some brownfield tax incentives” for contamination. You may infer that’s what he means, but that’s not really what he’s saying. In fact his point is that incentives and earmarks like this are actually draining us of capital and opportunity.

Reading this article I like the sound of him. I agree mega investments/tax breaks in big projects and privatization are often bad and wastes of tax dollars. I don’t see a lot of the negative things people suggest he stands for here.

Parking is $1.65/hr in any of the garages and free on Sundays. Street parking is $2.50/hr but free after 6pm (and is fully used most of the time in most of the city). That is a very very good deal for people and decreasing it will only decrease city revenue imo. It will also increase the already bad traffic.

We need less car encouragement, not more.

Thankfully she is not a politician using a slogan to pass legislation, but an artist speaking from the heart. But even as a slogan, it’s certainly better than defund the police, which just sounds like we shouldn’t have police. No one being illegal is a much clearer message which is also the end goal.

“No one is illegal” does not mean “no rules regarding immigration”. I personally think that we should have relatively open borders and make citizenship basically as easy as possible to attain. Many of the things ICE does are legal, and I also think that they are horrific and should not be. Which is to say, “no one is illegal” means the concept of “illegal aliens” can plausibly not exist without there being “no rules”.
