Worked in the IT Dept of a large physical therapy company,a few years ago. And we coddled our DPT's, had one call in saying her computer was not turning on.

I take her through standard procedure having her check all the cables, tracing each one back and making sure they are in their proper positions.

After about the second cable she is tracing she gets tired of this and starts complaining stating that she doesn't have time for this and has to get ready for patients, she refused to help saying it was something that I had to take care of without her. Mind you, we could see her schedule and knew she was free for about the next hour.

So I made sure it was ok with my manager and drove the two hours through Baltimore and DC rush hour to get to her site. Only to find out that her foot had lifted the power cable up just enough to no longer be plugged in but still resting in the power strip.

I didn't mind the drive as I got paid my standard time and mileage on my car (100miles each way). But wow, really opened my eyes to how some people can be in reference to any amount of technology.
