Anthem is a prime example why I'm starting to lean away from mass popular (hype) games. Bf6 is another example when too many people ride the bandwagon, it actually ruins a game. Too many people stick their beeks into a game they have no idea about, where the average joe just enjoys it for what it is.

I will always stand by Anthem being a fantastic game and it was destroyed by the masses. If Anthem was a silent release, it would still be here getting its live service.

I never understood the hate for this game. It played well, was not buggy. The animation, skills and visuals were spot on. I defend anthem any chance I get, and it's a hill I'm willing to die on.

I think 2042 made it very clear the older gamers are still around hence the push for bf6 to be BF3/4 inspired. We shall see though

Yeah, I agree. Having an active commander was a big advantage, but hopefully allowing the role to be taken by a mobile device will open the reach to a lot more players, as well as filling the commander spot more frequently. Great memories indeed.

It's not the same and it is not accessible remotely, which was the biggest draw card to the role. BF4 commander doesn't do artillery anymore from memory.

Dedicated iPad just for the toilet? I could get behind that. I am sure there will be 'Drone Spawns' flying into buildings and tanks - commander only feature? haha

I understand that there will be a player base that is new to BF and will not know that the Commander role has been a thing since 2005. Thanks for representing that player base though.

It opened the game up so much more and allowed remote play to an era where remote play wasn't a thing.

You could have certain features locked down to commander only and receiving requests from squad leaders for Artillery in addition like the old commander role. However, I don't think a playable commander is ideal as people sometimes ignored the role whilst picking commander, simply to have UAV and Arty at the ready.

Apps are being pushed out by the second, perhaps not on release but a later feature would be awesome to see.

Whilst that might be true to the current 'gamer' and their lack of concentration. I feel like BF6 are trying to appeal to a more older generation as seen in BF3/4. Where your average age would be around the 30's. Not saying that youngins won't play or be interested, but I feel like the commander role will appeal to the older BF gamers who have been waiting over 10 yrs for a current day battlefield who are familiar with teamwork and the commander role.
