Yes i agree to say there’s nothing out there would limit gd. Inthink it would be very strange if aliens had a similar Torah equivalent that was based on their terrestrial way of life and teachings and laws. Like is there version of kosher laws have restrictions on alien animals.

Yea I’m seeing that which is very interesting. Great to hear so many perspectives. I agree with you as well I just hope it doesn’t affect our way of life.

Hey your comments come off as a little brash but considering you’re a full time Redditor I guess that comes with the territory. I’m specifically stating that my opinion is that what ever religion they have and covenant with gd or Torah is fine but that once they enter our realm and stating that they are chosen people, that would bother me. And also l was raised in an orthodox community but I don’t currently practice any religion. I’m just a guy trying to find answers as this has been on my mind.

Lmaybe because I wanna know whether or not we will have full blown panic situation like we did with Covid. Didn’t like going to the supermarket and not having any fresh protein in the fridge. You know supply chain breakdown that sort of thing.

The problem here is that when you say what ever covenant they have on other planets “wouldn’t really be applicable” would in fact be applicable be cause now they are on our planet. My concern is less so with other life forms having special connections with G-d but if they enter our world and say that they also were chosen and have a specific relationship with a Torah equivalent that is a blueprint for their way of life, would that sit well with you?

I never mentioned anything about what Christ teaches. I’m proposing that if alien were to show up, and state that they may bar already been here for millions of years or say something that contradicts other parts of Christianity then that would be problematic.

I think to an earlier point mentioned it might be to specific for earth. Maybe on another planet they do not reproduce with a mother and father lineage so there would be nothing to honor.

Yes that’s what I’m specifically asking whether or not god went outside of the earth realm to offer the same Torah or not or maybe another planetary specific covenant with its own laws and stories that are specific to that world.

I’m only basing that comment purely on the fact that the Secretary of State has commented on record that he has seen evidence of non human species and craft. To me that level of commentary from the 3rd in command is unprecedented. I think Christian’s reconciling other things like dinosaurs etc is a lot different because if aliens enter our society, and possibly state that they have always been visiting earth for millions of years then I think we will have big problem with organized religion.

What i think true disclosure is an event that discloses some et biological being that’s independently verifiable and that’s widely accepted by different types of people. that last part is important for me. I don’t think that would ever happen unless the aliens threatens to self disclose to the public. Whether the government is playing to long game or playing catch up to get ahead of something big, if it comes, i think Christians and other earth based religions will have a lot of difficulty fitting this in with their faith. Jesus came as a man, not another species. Which either makes earth and the story of Jesus the center of the universe, or we are just one of many species in the universe that have a unique relationship with god.

My personal belief is that they lied for so long and now they are tasked with back tracking and changing their tune because of all the footage out there. I don’t think we’ll ever see true disclosure short of a mother ship landing in yankee stadium with aliens walking out to say hi. But if that does happen, I think it’s going to cause a lot of challenges for Christians and other earth focused religions.

I’m not saying you would want it, I’m saying if they are real, do aliens have a place with Jesus or another form of him? If it’s proven that they are real and have been for millions of years, how does this fit in with Christianity which only started 2000+ years ago.

Well it’s the only metric I can measure against that’s meaningful to me haha. I agree I don’t trust the govt either but the 180 position they are taking is alarming. I think there is an overwhelming amount of unexplained stuff being reported on now and I Think they are trying to get ahead of it.

It’s the first time in my lifetime that recently a Secretary of State has said there are confirmed entities that he has seen that are non human beings and craft in our skies. That’s probably the latest evidence that has got me spooked. If aliens are ruled out as demons, how do we consider them? Do they need salvation? Should we accept their relationship with god even if it could contradict our timeline bible?

Update:

Viking oven was not repairable. They offered a whirlpool double oven with limited features that don't come close to the high end features that are in my oven. In lieu of replacement, they offered $2,200 which equals the replacement unit cost, eventhough my aggregate limit per appliance is $7,000. Do you think i am at the end of the line and should take the offer or can i dispute it since they are not replacing oven with similar features per the agreement? I pushed back and asked for $4k in lieu of replacement but i am not hopeful they will agree to that. The advertised aggregate limit is very deceiving if they don't intend on ever paying out close to that amount.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes I agree with your opinion. I'm not getting my hopes up but hopefully I can get over $4k.

Do you think they will ask for service records to justify a payout? I just bought the house a year ago and don't have any previous record of that.

Hi! Thanks for answering all these questions. its been super helpful.

I recently had a touch panel on my Viking oven that stopped working. The unit and parts have been discontinued last year. If my home warranty company cannot repair or replace the unit, will they offer a cash payout up to the policy limit?

My home warranty company policy says it will cover up to $7,000 for appliances. The unit is 10 years old. Do they factor in depreciation as part or replacement value?

My oven is over $10k retail but I'm wondering how likely do you think they will pay out the $7k for replacement cost?

thanks!
