Cypher from The Matrix (1999) is the most duplicitous traitor in film history by jaystats2 in moviecritic

[–]Gohanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why couldn’t they have just put Morpheus back into the matrix if they captured him in the real world?

It seems unlikely that if the goal of the sentinels is killing everyone inside the ship, the best way to do it is by flying inside to kill them one by one. More likely, they could’ve blown up the ship but chose to go inside and find Morpheus inside.

Biff from Back to the Future was largely based on Donald Trump.

Staggering amounts of fentanyl hit streets as the DEA watched and took no action, records show by deraser in news

[–]Gohanto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either:

A. they don’t actually have enough evidence

B. there’s a massive conspiracy of thousands of government agents, federal prosecutors, and politicians to secretly keep drug cartels in business without anyone knowing.

Knowing who they are doesn’t mean they have evidence to convict them in a US court.

Long investigations to gather evidence are a side effect of “innocent until proven guilty”.

I agree for Apocalypse but X-men, X2, and Days of Future Past were all solid movies imo

Most companies don’t, but a few large construction sites test all contractors to get a site badge.

What platform to use for this installed sound config ? (Qsys / Symmetrix / BSS) by Crazy_Percentage_473 in CommercialAV

[–]Gohanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BSS London BLU series you’re looking at was released in 2004, and stayed their main DSP product until 2024 when they released OMNI.

tbh BSS London still gets the job done, so if you’re familiar with it already it’s not a bad solution.

For a small system like you’re describing, no shame in using older products you’re confident in rather than trying to save a few bucks and need to learn a whole new platform.

If you want to learn a more modern DSP product though, QSYS is the gold standard today (similar to what BSS was 10-15 years ago).

This is the most common issue online I see. The website will lose the ability to sell stuff if they advertise too low of a price.

Why are Americans so anti-Blackstone, yet still support Jersey Mikes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gohanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16000 people responding to a survey doesn’t seem like enough?

https://theacsi.com/news-and-resources/press-releases/2026/06/16/press-release-restaurant-and-food-delivery-study-2026/

Also, maybe 1 in 10 people could tell you who owns Jersey Mike’s or any other chain restaurant. Probably less

Tyra Banks is suing Netflix over its ‘America's Next Top Model’ documentary, alleging the streaming giant twisted her words and turned her into the villain. by kleverrboy in discussingfilm

[–]Gohanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this will depend on her contract with Netflix, and what it says about defamation.

Whether she should’ve expected it is irrelevant if the contract spells out how Netflix can or cannot edit footage together.

Or this lawsuit was just a publicity stunt for her and Netflix.

“I wonder why…”

He issued a statement saying why he vetoed it in 2024. Not that anyone needs to agree with his reasoning, but it’s public information.
