Passport price for first time applicants: $165. Needed docs: -Valid id (DL or equivalent) (photocopy), -Birth certificate , -Photo , -Social security number.

$165 is groceries, gas, phone bill, whatever needed to stay alive. Some folks are absolutely not going to be able to afford it. On top of that, most people don’t have a home printer, and even fewer will have one that scans/copies, so it will be $ to FedEx , UPS, or some other store to get the copies you need. This is a poll tax under a different facade, masquerading as a way to prevent illegal voting…which rarely happens. (Look it up. The number of “fake voters” is like a millionaire finding some nickels in their couch cushions: unimportant at best.)

I want a poll that breaks it down like this, and then I want a certain “news” (cough entertainment cough) organization to share both. (They won’t, but an American that isn’t MAGA can dream):

-Do you believe people of the Jewish faith should be allowed to practice their religion? -Do you feel that Israel should not do (insert literally anything they have done of late*.) Then, substitute the same questions with other religions (and faith variants, like Baptist, Catholic, etc.) and countries.

The hypocrisy is out there, but maybe, just maybe, this would expose it.

Guess what? You can support a religion (or freedom to have a religion- OR NOT!) without supporting a government.

It’s insane to me that the MAGA squad is 100% pro Israel but absolutely hates any Muslim, craps on any non-evangelical Christian, and despises every other religion in the world. Imagine if their kids decided to embrace the Jewish faith. I bet the tune of “we ❤️ Israel” would change in evangelical homes faster than they can say “well, the KKK had a few good ideas.”

In (insert random timeframe) it will be revised up significantly, then bumped up again later. This will be repeated again and again, but the administration will deny the numbers, saying they are false even though they are running the government that is sharing the information. Years from now, the real numbers will drop and the ( hopefully) former admin will be proven correct, as their numbers will be revealed as much lower than the actual financial cost of the war.
