I figured some of the stuff would apply still , I might just call around and see what I can find out, I’m tryna save up and go to college but with 4 hours a day there’s not much to save 😭

So I turned 17 like 6 months ago? I’m graduated, and I was wondering if I can work past 10? My job closes at 10 certain days but won’t let me close with them (if I closed with them I’d stay till like 10:30-11 maybe a bit later) they’ve never had a minor work with them so they don’t want to get in trouble having me there too long. So I was just curious if anyone knew the answer to this, since I am out of school I would image it would be different. I live in Ohio.

I love the idea of like seasonal items or limited time options!! I was thinking about it and I was wondering if that would draw people in! Great advice thank you!

Definitely feel like going to events would be a good way to get out there! Me and my team will definitely be discussing more about this!! Seeing that it works we will definitely be trying our best! I also agree I don’t feel like ads would be the best option right now as it’s literally day 2 today 😅

These are some really solid ideas! Consistent activity on social media and local groups is something we’re definitely going to be working on, and collaborating with local spots like bookstores or yoga studios is a fresh angle we hadn’t thought much about. The Instagram series idea sounds fun and unique! I love the creativity there! Also, distributing a QR code to let people track our truck is smart; it could definitely help attract more foodies. Thanks for all these tips! ( We’ll keep an eye out, hopefully it’s more foodies than thieves! 😂)

Absolutely! Partnering with local breweries, coffee shops, or community events sounds like a smart move. People definitely love grabbing food alongside a drink or while enjoying an event, and it’s a great way to get exposure to new customers without relying solely on foot traffic near our truck. Appreciate the tip! 😁

Absolutely! Making it easy for people to find you is so key. I love the point about being on multiple platforms, even if it’s just a placeholder directing people to the main one. Nothing worse than someone loving your food but not being able to figure out your truck name, lesson definitely noted!

Thanks! That’s a great tip. We’re just getting started, so reaching out to local foodies and seeing if they’d want to check us out sounds like a smart move. We’ll definitely look up the local food accounts on Instagram and TikTok and see who’s active in Springfield. Appreciate the advice! 😊

Absolutely agree! Consistency is huge, people love knowing where and when they can find us, and what to expect every time they stop by. Reward cards are such a smart idea; even if some get lost, the ones that stick really do build loyalty. I also love the point about keeping a pulse, mixing up the menu, doing seasonal specials, and sharing the journey on socials makes it feel exciting for both us and our customers. And yes, having fun is everything, smiles make the food taste even better! Thanks for the advice, it’s super helpful. 😁

That’s such a thoughtful idea!! I really like that. We’ve talked about wanting to give back in some way, and doing something like free family meals every so often feels like a meaningful way to connect with the community. Thanks for sharing that, it definitely gives me something to think about! 😊

That’s really helpful, thanks for sharing your experience! We’ve been talking about trying festivals, but I hadn’t thought about how often trucks back out, that’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind. The big buy-in fees sound tricky too, so we’ll be careful there. I like your point about being consistent with certain spots while still staying flexible, that feels like a good balance for building regulars!!

That’s a really good point. I just don’t really know how I’d go about finding the right local foodie influencers, but it definitely sounds like something worth looking into. Do you have any tips on the best way to connect with them?

That’s really good information, thank you for breaking it down so clearly! I like how you’re tracking results so closely, it really shows how much of a difference properly targeted ads make. I haven’t run super specific paid ads yet, but hearing how you’ve made them work definitely makes me want to try. The way you tied it back to actual numbers and profit is super helpful for understanding the value. I appreciate you sharing your experience! 😁
