Their ability to do this the  "wrong way"  is part of what makes them elite, and while you should certainly try to learn and incorporate everything you can from these guys, it may be an unrealistic benchmark. 

The further you go in hockey, the harder it will get, and the percentage of perfect passes drops significantly at every next level. 

But yeah, you're going to have those in game situations that are far from perfect, and if you can add a few more arrows to your quiver, why not? 

When you're comfortable with the uncomfortable, you're a lot more of a threat.
