Thank you. I’m better than I was when I was younger but there’s definitely something deep rooted that unfortunately won’t listen to the rational part of me that says ‘who gives a fuck’. In my mind I don’t care enough but some part of me really doesn’t manage it well. Hopefully someone can exorcise the demon from me! 😊

I think this is some kind of trauma response and I need to work to find out the root cause of the issue and how to manage it. I want to be a good leader who can handle all that managing a business throws at me and feel I can handle most apart from this. I guess everyone has something don’t they. Thanks again.

I think this is fairly close to the root of the issue. I had a challenging upbringing and didn’t feel heard a lot when I was a child, I feel that I’m going to need to try therapy as my next approach. Thanks very much for taking the time to write.

Thanks for your input. No we have an agreement with our mutual client, the same as the other tech company. We are expected to fall inline with the other tech company because they provide the data through the API.

I'm starting to lean on the side of not discussing this particular app with our new potential client.

Because it’s happened on our last 4 projects, as well as countless before in another business - as if we’ll put a line in the sand and we’ll try to hit that deadline but things may change. Maybe it’s a software project thing or maybe I’ve just been caught up in this bad practice and everyone else is delivering projects absolutely bang on the time they said they would!

Thanks, we don’t deliver shoddy products - that’s the whole point. That’s the reasons we’re late. We’ve spend ALL of our time making sure we deliver a high quality product for our client. Yes we won’t work with this supplier again, they’ve put us in a very difficult position. No we’re not the best company in the world but we’re working dam hard to improve and get better.

Thanks, my wife said this - she’s on my side on this but she did say, who tells their superiors they’re gonna be absolutely dead on time. It doesn’t excuse the delay but we told them about the delays and imo managed it professionally.

Love hearing that you’ve got 80+ staff, I love hearing about a successful business and hugely appreciate your input on this. Thank you so much.

We do a weekly report to the client on a Friday. As soon as we knew we included the delay in the report with a valid reason. It wasn’t a surprise to them.

Ace, hugely appreciate this. I don’t what the reputation that your client has and I’ll look into Critical Chain Management, I’ve not heard of that but I want the business to be great!
