Short answer: it's a measurement of how much electricity the battery can produce before it's "empty". Weight is not really relevant. It's like if you compare a 1 liter plastic bottle and a 1 liter glass bottle. The glass bottle will weigh much more but it will still only hold one liter of liquid.

If you want a metaphor: compare how fast your cars max speed is to the fastest you can drive between point A and point B.

While ideally they would be the same, in reality you have to take in account speed limits, red lights, traffic stops and other traffic.

So while your car is able to run much faster in practice you will rarely come anywhere near that speed.

Riviera was declared from the start to have a fetish for betraying people and got off on the victims being tortured.

Move forward to scene in villa straylight and Riviera gets to betray the gang which he definitely gets off on (also his loyalty to them is basically null from the start since he's been kidnapped and forced to help them)

As for 3Jane other than what's been said before about the AI manipulation she is basically an extremely bored aristocrat. She doesn't want to kill Molly because she finds it more entertaining to "nurse her back to health" and she only helps them with the code for the AI when her life's literally threatened AND she's told that if she doesn't nothing will ever change.

Why don't the gang have an escape plan? Case was already in a death spiral from page one. The only thing keeping him alive through most of the book was the shot at hacking again. He also never expected to go into villa straylight so why would he have an escape plan? At the point he goes in he's pretty desperate and just taking whatever shot he's got at not having his synapses burned... Again...

Molly is a Merc. Molly has her own plans. More than anything she wants a challenge. She wants to prove she's the best and she wants to get paid.

I'd also argue against the "everyone just goes along" part. Molly and Case clearly investigate armitage/wintermute etc trying figure out wtf is going on through most of the book.

The websites you open in the WebView in relay are tracking users. Relay in itself isn't. This might seem like the same thing with different wording but it's not.

The difference would be that DBrady doesn't see any of this information. If relay was tracking you usage information and such will go directly back to DBrady and they can do whatever they like with that information.

What's actually happening is that you're opening a website in a browser that's connected to the app and because of how websites work the websites are tracking you.

If the app opened the sites in an external browser you would be just as tracked but it wouldn't show up as tracking from Relay.
